All ML2 steps to be completed APART FROM SOLO STEP (2.8) - complete before you come plz, we won't wait around as it spoils it for those who have rightly come prepared

Battlegroup will open 30 minutes beforehand - /bg join Biratan. Meeting in Stygia Haven. All welcome, let's make it a good 'un :drink:

you are going to do the Chess step also?? Cause that will take a long time if you have gathered 4+fg for this raid.....

Incoming with NS btw :)

Chess shouldnt take long IF the raid leader understands how it works.

/explains

First throw away VoS and all the guesswork and random solutions there (or at least like any ML step use it as reference, but many of the entries there are flawed or just wrong).

Chess is actually a solo step that lots of people can do at once. Think of it that way, its not a group step, people who have done it before CANT associate themselves with a piece. Dont spend too long setting pieces, their settings make very little difference, its mostly random.

Oh and once the game starts, just let it go. Dont run around the room spamming '/y heal' at the bishop or whatever or trying to change what they are doing. Its a test of your strategy, not direct command.

It can be done solo easily, the only hard bit is getting there but a group of 2-3 people should have no problem getting there, best to walk anti clockwise around the temple following the guards instead of against them. Borrow a north gate key from a guildy to open the door when you get there ;)

Might be a bit early for me, though ill be there, as i STILL need that annoying 2.10 step. Will bring my druid Mork. I hope ppl needing the solo step go in 2 hours before, as it takes at least 5 minutes per person needing it..

5 hours it did, was 00:00 when I quit after sitting at 2.10 for 30 minutes to begin. This was by far the longest ML2 raid I can remember, and no offence, the worst lead as well.

I hope I catch 2.10 some other time, real life prevented me from getting it here.

Lead was good imho, though the huge server lag made ppl LD serveral times... Its a bit unfair to just go on without waiting when more ppl having the problem..

You said you wanted to catch it another tiime? Why dont you run the raid yourself and see how difficult it is to keep everyone happy...

Been there, done that, took less than 4 hours.

If you assign the tank tasks for 2.10 to NS's and wardens you obviously didn't prepare well enough. There are enough guides on the inet. The leader waited for 30 minutes before engaging 2.10 and there wasn't even 1 ld!

And Im not saying reading a raid is easy, but waiting at some points for 15 minutes because some guy ld'd is bad leading. At some point you just have to go on to keep others happy.

I was just so happy he didn't wanna redo 2.3 and 2.7 when people asked for it. Would have taken much longer.
