Ml1.1 - Fire island questions.

I've just tried to do it with my summ SM. Buff up, set font, resists, start enc, ml9 pet, sick him on Suncaio with ds/fds up....and that damn mob started hitting it so hard that i was unable to keep pet's hp up with bot. Very soon - pet died, and Sunc killed us both with ~60-70% hp left. His melee was weak, but fire DDs did all the dmg.

Checked Midfocusfarmin' - was nothing there about such a behavior.

So questions are:
1) Can this encounter be made this way (summ SM+sham) still?
2) Heat resist on sm is very low - farm gear with lots of +pie and +power. Will gettig it higher help?
3) Does DI work on pets? Got a healer bot also wit it...

I did it alot of times with sm(50 som 20 dark) + bot (50 enc rest rejuv). Sm just with lots of pp, no ml9. Shaman had 2% cast speed, 25% heal and like 50% pp. Just spam heal like fuck and the first mob is easy enough, and the rest dont hit to hard. I had the cap heat ressist, would guess that helped, and no DI only works on 1 pet, and thats necros.

i did it a lot of times too.
it's enough start to heal and go ahead ,after first damage on pet, till sunkaio will die, and u need i think just 5-6 seconds and then sunk die

For the first mob, use you baseline nuke a few times and you will get agro. Set ML9 pet on him and then just kite the mob while ML9 pet beats him down.

Well sunkiao is almost all about the preheals...

Just start spamming with shaman before the pet reaches the mob, it might be abit hariy but youll do it...

All spells hit hard on mobs, and the only attack that mob has is spell damage...

So, just dont wait till you see the damage, start healing before pet reaches mob and youll be okay...

I use SM and Shamie, my SM is speced dark/sum and shamie aug.
Sunkaido gets a ML9pet with midrange dmgshield, and after mele started shamie spamheals pet while I base nuke with SM. So dark/sum works nice.

Thou I got to say dropprate for cloak and ring could be better, personal record is 46enc and no dropp of either item.

thx for advises. made it. capped heat in sc and just healed pet like crazy. when sunc went down, pet was at 56% hp, shaman had 60% power (was standing in font).

lucky for u. i gave up tryin w ml9 pet long ago. i found farmin w a warrior much more easy, sick resistances.

I just SCd a pair of gloves to max out heat resist and spammed largest heal on the pet. Also, using tinderboxes as well as fop means your shammy doesnt run out of power.

I remember running past it ( on hibbie ) and I thought go on then i would farm it...

i took 1 hero a BM and a Dr00d
