ML 2 Full Raid 4/8 Time TBA

Lo again.
I’ll lead a full raid on the 4th of August with my bard (Faltsa). What you have to do in advance are steps 2.8 and 2.7. I know some of you will say that you need a key to do 2.7, but there are several ones around so I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding one.

Rules are as follow:
If ANYONE leaves the raid before all people get credit, and I’m talking particularly about 2.10 as we’re gonna do it in parts, it’s gonna be name and shame for those ppl. Last time, we did it without any problems so I don’t think we’re going to face any at this raid.

Points of attention:

2.5 Chaths' Test of Strategy (Chest Piece). Read VoS beforehand on how that works (http://www.visionofsages.net/toa/Master_Level_Two.html) and/or ask ppl in game before the raid on how you associate with pieces. Well do the recommended setting as it worked pretty well all times that I did it before (KING to COMMAND, QUEEN to DRAIN, ROOK to DEFEND, BISHOP to HEAL, KNIGHT to WEAKEN, PAWNS to STUN.)

2.10 Immortal Imposter. We’ll do it in turns there. Two groups will be doing it at a time with compositions that will be announced on the spot according to the classes that we have available. I expect that some ppl will have to do it for a 2nd time if necessary as it was done the previous time as well. At that point bg will be set to listen and I fully expect that you. I’ll have a bb logged inside the temple to provide rez.

AFKers without reason will be kicked immediately. You wont get PLd through this one. LDers will have time to come back if in between steps. If you LD during a step we'll try to do it again tho there are no guarrantees. Hence, before logging on QUIT all other applications, set your graphics to minimum (best performance), do /effects none once in game and take off all player names.

Regarding lotto, I’ll follow Adari’s rules as they seem fair, simple and quick to go through. We’ll lotto the 2.10 keys on the spot as you need to get the chests, then all the rest at Stygia after the raid. All will /random 1000, best numbers pick one of the available items.

On a final note do yourself a favour and go through VoS before coming. It's really sad to see high ML ppl that don't even know how they went through steps just because they were stuck to someone else all the time.

why is 2.7 a pre req while 2.5 is not ? oO 2.5 is shit easy (u can even do it solo) while the solo option on 2.7 was very hard (atleast thats what ive heard, never tried xD)

Reason for it is cause respawn time at 2.5 is 1 min and up to 8 people can do it at one time, while respawn at 2.7 takes 45 mins and holds everybody back. I'd say that some of you should gather up and do 2.7 group (terror) at some point beforehand.

Yes, one is meant for bg but only for up to 16 people. If we only have that number of people that need it, then yes we can do it. There is another option that i'm also contemplating like doing it first then proceed to other steps and redo it for other people that need it after the timer has been reset. So don't be that preoccupied on this one. I'm sure we can work around it one way or another.

well, first of all, how long will the whole ML2 raid take? Second of all, the ones that need 2.7 do that after the 'official' raid, no? so that everyone who doesn't need2.7 can already leave.

I am not aware of any hotfix for 2.7

I can't tell excactly how long the raid is going to take as there are many things that could go wrong. Should take about 3 hours if all goes well.

What I am 100% sure about 2.7 is that it can be done by up to 16 people. If we have that number of people needing it, it can be done during the raid. The rest of us can take a small coffee break.

If anyone has the keys for the trials and the items required, pm me (Faltsa) before we head off to avoid farming time.

The raid will be as follows:

We start with 2.3 for the credit, keys and items.

We make our way into the temple. If we run to Rionne (2.4) we do it on the spot.

We continue to 2.1 and 2.2, both of em are similar and won't cause us any problems if we play well.

Having North key, we do 2.5. Please see my first post in this topic as to know how to set up your piece.

2.6 will come next, and the way we'll do it will depend on the bg set up. If we got shrooms, will go down fast.

Optional 2.7 afterwards for people that need it. Rest of us can have a 10 min break.

2.9 is really easy. There is a slight chance that someone will not get credit. You don't have to worry as repop is within minutes and we can repeat immediately.

2.10 Comes at the end. It will be done in turns as I already said. No one leaves until all people get credit.

LDs will be given some a reasonable amount of time to come back. Do us a favour before-hand and don't run any other applications if you system can't handle it.

One last point is that if you don't like the rules (especially the one about not leaving till everyone gets credit) you don't have to come. If you do decide to join, I expect you to respect and follow my instructions and most of all think of your fellow realmates. Mistakes can and will be done, it's unavoidable and doesn't really matter. Disrespect however is intentional and will not be tollerated.

OK whole thing finished, took us around 5 hours from the time that we started. I still can't understand why ppl don't follow up simple instructions and expect us all to wait for them to do the prerequired steps! This post has been here for over a week...

Anyway, word of advice to anyone else thinking of leading a ML2 raid in the future. 2.5 is a lot more difficult now, the VoS setup is no longer a guaranteed success so you should actually require it as a prereq for the raid. 2.9 can NO LONGER be innitiated by people that did it before, so you'll have to farm for all the items. My special thanks to Conlai for supplying those items so we could redo the step a second time for Boowan.

Last but not least, sorry for shouting at all, but hey, It was my raid and we play by my rules. As I follow what other people say, I do expect you to do the same when I lead.
