Missing menu screen

Help !!

The problem is erratic but persistent and is doing my head in !!!

A bit hard to pin down as I have just upgrading my system fresh install etc.

The menu screen for the spawn points and weapons etc dissappear from the screen and im unable to see what im selecting. The rest is still there so I can see where I died etc.

Does anyone else have this problem ?

2 GB Twinmos PC3200 Ram
AMD 4000+
HIS 1800 XL 256 mb Graphics card
Hiper Type R 580 Watt PSU
2 X Raptors 76 GB drives Raided (boot)
1 X Diamond Max 10 280 GB drive (storage)
On Board sound
Cooler master for the CPU

Nothing clocked

I get the same problem, after updating to 1.12, i just restart BF and it goes away.
