Ok, call me a n00b, but why is it most minstrels ive come across in RvR dont use the purge/sos combo for a devastating form of group purge. Ive used this many times with my minstrel and tbh we pwned the hibs that had mezzed us as they were totally caught off guard. Theres nothing like beating the crap out of a caster while the dumb tanks and bards/healers are wondering why their mezz/stun/slam isnt working on you

SOS doesn't break stun or mezz, and purge doesn't purge them for the rest of the group

Most mincers don't even have purge Which is indeed gimped, but there you go

I purge+sos often...although other in group can move and not fight unless they purge as well

Go tell mids to get purge first also :/ no no its to expencive they say not worth it.

most people don't recognize when i activate SoS

and then they still can't shoot/cast/whatever, only run at top speeds into some enemy PBAE to break their mezz

SoS, MCL, Purge are my first 3 ra's and I can't live with out them. A lot of minstrels I talk to say they don't have purge and they are saving up for IP instead, but imo thats quite a selfish reason. Purge is more useful for your group, especially in combo with So or even just demezz. With SoS too even though you are still mezzed, you can just run to the edge of a pbaoe balst and get it removed form your local friendly mana bomb for the bargain price of about 50hp. Doesn't work with stun, but you can just run about like a monkey for 6 seconds with that as duration is so short. Alternatively, just run up to any troll class and stand in front of them and they will 99% of the time bash you with their hammers breaking mezz. Works best if your were mezzed while in combat mode though
