At high lvls as long as you get motivational anthem 5 and power song 4 and can mes with reasonable accuracy, no one cares how you spec your minstrel, but at low lvls basically keep instruments to your lvl ( welcome to the world of afk) until you know how you want to play and which one of the 3 - 4 types of minstrel in the end,
