Minstrel spec?

I'm making a minstrel on US PvP server, lvl 10 now with 10 in instrument and 5 in slash.

And I wonder what is the best spec as a minstrel. So any suggestions how to spec my minstr would be nice. How much in stealth is smart too?

thanks

Instruments to level, then weaponskill, then stealth.

I've got about 15 stealth and will probably take it to about 20, with 44 instruments (at 50) and rest in slash.

You might want to spec stealth early as you're PvP - but I don't know.

Oki thanks.

Btw...humm mistrels ownz lol. Nothing can really kill me with 2 insta blasts, insta stun, charm, run song, mez, stealth and even aoe mez, I kinda like it :D

you wait till you're level 48 and can't solo yellows without losing 50% health, all power and all end :p

edit: oh, PvP server... you'll never BE 48 =)

Yeah, but all the hotkeys are a pain in the bloody arse ;)

Minstrels are quite powerful, but if you're like me, you suck dirt reasonably easily.

Well, loads will disagree, but get Instruments up to 50...

You can get loads of funny pets... Saw a screenie of a minstrel that had a level 54 Frost Stalion... That frost stalion is so strong it can solo all the guards of Bledmeer... (Has an AE spell which hurts)

Also the last AE mezz is at 46... So what ever you do, at least get it to 46 (instead of 44)...

last AE mezz is at 45, actually. And you can charm low oranges with +0 to instruments; to charm a frost stallion reliably you'd need over 54 instruments, which is possible but requires ludicrous sacrifices of resists etc, since our epic armor has NO +speclines on it.
+4 DF merchant gloves
+a fair bit from a prince instrument? I Know the legion instruments are bugged and can't be used to play any songs, but the princes might drop diff. ones?
Dunno.... bleh :p

Well, with level 50 in instruments you can get 54 rarely easy... But I got these screenies from a friend that plays on the US servers:

This guy managed to get 50+12 (probably RR's and some +items)...

Now its just me, but running around with a frost stalion is pretty funny (he hardly gets resisted by oranges)...

(btw, the level 60 guard killed him about 20s after the screenie ;))

Keep instr maxed all the way to 50, thrust/slash to 39 and rest in stealth. High stealth is useless with assassins see hidden and no camo for minstrels. Learn to twist, and try and always have a pet on the pvpserver. Even a blue pet would do with the removal of lvl for hit chances. You can get +4 from df gloves, and dunters drop necklace +2instr +char/con. Add some +instr from flute and you can have 60instr. Yesterday I ran around emain with levian-at as pet (orange con to 50) and he didn't resist too often. I think that especially on the pvpserver our charmability is more important than our stealth :)

Charm is fun! Didn't even knew minstrels had it before I made a minstrel. To bad you can't play run song or powersong while you have pet though

You can, called Twisting, rather hard to learn, but onces you get the hang of it...

I would have to disagree, anyone with some basic gaming skills should pull it of quickly enough :)

Simply charm whichever pet you want, keep the pet targetted, play speed song, when you're done playing, press charm button, then speed, then charm, then speed, then charm... and so on.
Simple enough (still a pain though).
