How important is +11 instruments what does 50+ instruments do exactly?

I'm having a VERY hard time trying to cap everything without having to swap to an instrument to stealth.

Well stealthing is most useful with an instrument, either your drum or the flute.

Stealth with flute and mezz or stealth with drum and run.

I have exactly the same spellcraftin on my instruments. Personally i dont think its necessary to be capped in stealth with a sword in your hand.
