Minstrel pet in Lab - advice please

Hi,

My Minnie has 50 in instruments and +10 in gear but I cannot charm anything above yellow in Lab.

With my 42 charm I get this monster cannot be charmed and with the 32 permenant charm I can only get yellows.

Am I doing something wrong (it has been a long time) or are mobs in Lab special in some way.

I am trying to get any of the Minotaurs, but no joy.

I don't have problems charming oranges and reds outside.

You can only charm humanoids and animals with the chant charm afaik.

If you cant charm it you'll get a message saying "you cant charm this kind of monsters" or something like that. But if its to high level, you'll get "the monster ressists your spell".

Look for the geomancer on way to discoveries crossing tbh

You are using the wrong charm you are using the constant level 50 pet charm use the pulsing charm and way its calculated is instruments skill+skill -10 is the highest level of mob you can consistantly hold

Has any Mini found an orange pet to use in Lab ?

Think i am going to have to trade him in for a Sorcerer at this rate.
