Minstrel Help

Hi,

When making a minstrel, what race is best, and what starting attributes, my intentions being:

a.) Being able to solo mobs to the highest degree possible, only at level 50 i will need to do this.
b.) Very useful attributes in RvR, and my what would be my role as such, to be able to be independant and be able to attack people... and such.

if u want to have even stats be a briton
if u wanna be lame be a sercean or whatever they r called

specc in 1.60. 50inst, 29slash, 31stealth. get +11 slash and stealth.

I thought slash was weaker in RvR though?

And what about the bonus points at the start, i was adviced to do charisma?

No, slash is offensive, thrust is defensive (on average). Thrust is higly evade-based which sucks being a mincer with crap evade.

So you wanna be slash. Thus strength, thus a Highlander.

Visit daoc.catacombs.com Character-builder to look at possible specs.

Oh 1 more thing: Mincers shouldn't solo in PvE

Does DEX effect Slash?

10str/con/cha, highlander....
Dex affects block/evade and THRUST damage, only.
Don't spec 50inst on the basis of the ablative, it is NOT worth it. You don't realise how slow a 6sec pulsing effect seems compared to a buffed SB's swing speed.

how does ablative work btw? will it begin at 70 again after 6 secs, even though it isnt "used up", or do it hafta be used up?

50 inst for best pve soloing - use a pet.

go briton so u can restart ur minst after u hit rr5/l50 and totally hate it as a highlander ^^
