minstrel charm calculation

hello. anyone got a link to a site or the formula which states what lvl of pet you can charm safely? based on cha-skill-rr and such .. thx in advance

Level+spec/2=charm if im not mistaken

also heard things like max lvl of mob is 120% of your level.


so a lvl 50 rr10 with 50+20 instruments has a "charm" skill of 60. making it able to hold a lvl 60 mob without much hassle.

I would deffo discuss this with Steveirwin aka Carpp =)

You could always spam charm and hold purp mobs without hassle...

normally I count it this way:

Instrument level(with + skills) - 10 = mob lvl, then u don't loose the pet...

ie my mincer have:

50 instruments
+ 4 in template
+ 7 from RR

so it will be 61 - 10, so a lvl 51 should be charmable w/o looseing it every now and then

but if I max my instruments I have 68 instruments - 10, then I can charm a lvl 58 pet w/o looseing it every now and then



ofc u can just spam charm then u can keep a lvl 6x pet charmed even as low RR, but it will hurt in u'r fingers after a while

Erm I have 50+14 Instru, and can charm a level 53 without getting any resists, so can probably hold 54-55 being afk too.

apparantly it works something like this

max safe level to pet = intiger ((totall skill - level) /2 + level)

so in most cases = int ((50+xx) - 50)/2 + 50)) assuming level 50 and 50 instruments.

Used to be able to charm the creon sons in aerus... lvl 59 i think and would hit for 600ish when buffed
