CPU Speed
(See Video Card List below)

System RAM
64MB Minimum (128MB Suggested)

Hard Drive Space
531MB Hard Drive (with 300MB Swap Space)

Peripherals
DirectSound-compatible Sound Card required
DirectInput-compatible Controllers are supported

Video Cards (12MB VRAM * or better REQUIRED)<spop>

Min CPU (300Mhz) : GeForce, GeForce 2, Diamond Viper II, * ATI Rage 128.

Min CPU (400Mhz) : TNT, TNT2, Radeon, Matrox G400, Matrox G450, Voodoo 3

Min CPU (500Mhz) : Voodoo 2, Voodoo 4, Voodoo 5, Kyro, Permedia 3.

NOTE: Any card listed at a lower CPU can be used (of course) with higher CPUs. The listed CPUs are MINIMUMS for those cards.

ALSO NOTE: The Voodoo 3 has a lower threshhold CPU than the V4 & V5 because its drivers handle texture swapping better.

I have tried the "LAN version" of Tribes 2... and it runs just perfekt on my computer!
(P3-700MHz, 256 RAM, GeForce2 GTS)

But I would not recommend that minimum specs you have written there!
Another thing... T2 runs like crapp on Voodoo based (2,3,4 and 5) cards! NVidia based card are the optimal gfx card for T2! :D
A buddie of mine have a P3 600, 512MB RAM, and GF 256 (GeForce 256), and he had a fps that wasn't playebul at all! So GF2 is the one and only gfx card fore maximum preformence for T2! ;)

Well well... cya... have to run!

Here's what I'm running it on right now:

PC#1 - Main Workstation

Celeron 466 o/c 525MHz
SuperPower 7zx BX/ZX socket 370 mobo
128MB RAM (64MBx2 DIMM)
WD 20GB DMA100 HD
WD 13GB DMA66 HD
Creative 24x CDROM drive
Mitsumi 4802TE 4x/2x/8x CDRW
SBLive Value
LinkSys EtherPCI II NIC
Hercules GeForce II MX 32MB-SDR
MidiMan WinMan 2x2 ISA Midi card

PC#2 - Backup PC

Celeron 366 o/c 412MHz
FIC 6130V VIA Apollo Pro Slot1 mobo
128MB RAM (64MBx2DIMM)
Seagate 8GB DMA66 HD
Quantum 6GB DMA33 HD
Creative 2x DVD
ESS Solo1 (onboard sound chip)
LinkSys EtherPCI II NIC
Diamond Stealth III 32Mb Savage 4 Pro+ (150/150)

At 640x480x32 for the GeForce and 640x480x16 for the Savage4, Tribes2 runs well. I keep FSAA off and knock detail levels down (textures, however, stay up). I use 16bit textures on the "nicest" compression setting. The Savage4 Pro+ is overclocked to 150MHz core/150MHz memory and fan cooled. I'm using the Detonator3 6.x drivers for the GeForce and 8.20.33 S3 drivers for the Savage4. On both machines, I run Win98SE.

The Savage 4 can be best described as "playable", but framerates are still kinda low, If I had a more powerful processor behind it, it could do better.

Most of you would wonder why I'm running at 640x480. I run almost all of my games at that resolution for speed. I want my games to run fast, eye candy is not high on the list. GLQuakeWorld and Quake2 are the only games I run at 800x600.

I runs Tribes 2 at 1024x768 in 32 bits color! And all the graphics turn on to full! It runs just perfect at that setting! :)

This is taken from http://www.ign.com about specs:

None of us are really sure that the new engine is all that better than the first one. It doesn't seem to look that great on most mid-range machines. And if you've got a Voodoo or TNT card, you're pretty much screwed. The frame rates and texture problems I experienced running on a Voodoo 5 5500 made the game almost unplayable. Once I switched out the card for a GeForce2, things ran much better. But why should I be experiencing slowdown in an offline game on a 600MHz machine with 256MB of RAM and a GeForce2, y'know?

Pretty hefty rec specs I think.
