I got a list of hotels around Milton Keynes and I want to know which one's are a good trade off between price and distance to this training centre I need to be at next week.
Can you reply or PM me or something if you have the foggiest?

The Milton Keynes Rotary Club Memorial Hall offers first rate shared living accomodation, complete with own 6x2ft of floor space finished in attractive wood panelling. Residents are provided with a flock-effect blanket and an old A4 pad as a pillow.

Breakfast consists of whatever you find in your pack, and a welcome mug of warm, dark water. Bathroom facilities are luxurious and have been showcased on ITV's Crimewatch and BBC's Watchdog.

Prices vary, subject to season, and a patch by the radiator carries a surcharge. All residents are required to leave the premesis by 4am, or upon infection of a terminal disease. Whichever comes sooner.

You dont need to book either, apparently.

No no no no. You've got it all wrong. Well mostly. Yes I'm feeling well lazy :) but I was just hoping someone would know the area and just go "that one's good" or "that one's crap". Without me having to ring the entire list of about 20 hotels I have.

I have a list and I've rung a few. Some are fully booked and some are too expensive.

I've actually been there a couple of times...don't they have a large shopping-center or something?

Yeah its a huge indoor ski complex with clubs bowling alleys shops etc etc...

Any way the place is nothing more than a glorified concrete wasteland why would anyone want to go there.

I can help you out here been working in Milton Keynes on and off for the past 3 months and given I spend 200+ days a year in hotels I know good ones... and well there isn't any in Milton Keynes :) The best one out of the cr*p is the Hilton only problem is the staff are cr*p and the food is sh*t but the rooms are the standard Hilton stuff and it has a good wine celler :) Also the Hilton is next to the DeMontford Uni / training centre. The premier lodge is meant to be acceptable (and it is cheap) but I never go to them as most of them dont do room service.

Hope this helps.

I'd give that title to Wolverhampton. or Birmingham. or Cannock. In fact, most of the Midlands.
