Mids at bled

Must say your attempt of taking back bledmeer was almost succesful =)..

For those who wasnt there, we were about 4-5fg albs against what the guards said, 60 mids, they broke through the gates after a while, and then the real fight began at the lord room, where we at the end defeated them. I have a feeling they'll be comming in much larger forces now though

Well, as i thought, the honorble mids came back in larger force, and they took back bled, well done, we still held out a few i think =)

I entered doors, lagged for 5secs, then I was dead. Looked around and saw shit loads of mids in the courtyard and halfway up the stairs. Released and ported back to Odins, just to see:

That was indeed one of the coolest keep defenses I've been part of. The Mids as usual showed their dedication to keeping their frontier clear -- what can you do but to /salute them for bringing up a zerg of everything from grey cons to high-RR level 50s to battle for a puny little keep in the mountains of Odin's Gate? Thanks all for the nice battle.

well admit that it's much more fun to take keeps when you know that the realm going to retake it.

Instead of Port Albion.. take keep1.. wait.. keep2 wait... keep3 wait.. uh.. keep4 ... fall asleep and you don't see one single alb.

Yep, top was 109 mids... But we brought that down to 70 at one point... But then mids started rezzing and where back at 88 when the lord went down...

It was a lovely offense and lovely defense too...

Btw, who on earth let the outer door open and the inner door on 40-50% ?

We didnt even plan it... We went to Bledmeer cause we saw a small group of mids heading there... And by co-incidence we came at the same time as SS...

Saw the door down and knocked the inner door down before mids came

I just love keep fights like that It's also very nice to see that albs are developing some nice keep defence tactics, but in the end they succumbed to the rc runies gtaoe. I think FoM had 4-5 lvl 50 RC runies gtaoeing the lord when we finally managed to crack the albs. Very nice defense albs! Especially Cerdin/Belomar who has perfected the use of cabalist DoTs

All in all best keep defance i ever been on, hope to see more of this. Shame Albs couldnt came out with some reinforcements before second siedge, Mids had grey and green cons there ... Comone Albs watch and learn somthing.

It is really fun eh? 2 or 3 high rr mages nuke the attackers while they have 32425 healers on their back 1fg of tanks keeping mids away for those skilled mages that know so well to press ONE button with so much grace and patience .. pretty interesting i could say :O. Whats with you ? i mean RvR is not only about rps u know. It was about keeping a keep and wining the battle if the tactics works why not use it ? What would u like to see albs do ? Run in front wait till door went down and get eaten alive by 3x many mids in 10 seconds ? Plus all know that to win u need to keep your casters alive, not go melee and let all mages die. If u do so u dead allready. So u call it lame and i call it thinkin.

Why dont u bring 4 or 5 mates of u then should be really fun! We never asked or wanted to kill soloers but u get on our way pretty often.. so cant help it... Its really sad :/

held back 55 mids on first try, then lost the keep to a second try of the mids with 109

thx to SS and FC and others for helping defend our keep

Well, all in all it amounted to 24k RPs for both of the defenses. Of course, many of the kills didn't give any RPs -- that RP timer definitely needs to go.

I had a great group with me, including a personal s/s armsman bodyguard with 50 shield (thanks, Heath!) and no less than two rejuv clerics (Jozef and Seymour, you guys rock). A cabalist without support (especially one as suicidal as me) dies very quickly in a keep defense.

Try taking Renaris next time -- I am sure you will get it, with the Albion reaction time as it is, and it is sufficiently close to Castle Sauvage so that it is easy for us Albs to gather a zerg to go there (and me to be there and DoT -- /cackle). I know Fellowship of Midgard staged some well-planned lord room farming sessions there in the past (well, both in Boldiam and in Renaris).

Ahh yes, the mighty bandwagon zerker has spoken. So now all of a sudden it's lame to have a healer or two healing you while your tanks slam incoming targets? All right, I'll be sure to remember that next time. Oh, and yes, a keep defense is one of the few situations when your so-called one-button PBAE mages have a good advantage over one-button tank classes such as yours (Doublefrost, anyone?) -- just face it.

hihi...had real fun with my GT, both in stairs and Lord room. Nice figth albs, was a real fun siege.

...btw Albs played very good on the defence this time. When a keep is propperly defended you simply can't storm lord room. IHMO it makes it that more fun when you have to use skills and tactics to take it back.
