Oh well it was fun.

From scratch with no plan no people no rams we managed to gather 30-40 lvl 30-50 mids in Hadrians wall to give this thing a little try :)

Somehow we managed to get 3 rams all in all, and with this few people and resources we still managed to get 1.5 doors down :)

Kinda prooved that it's really not neccessary to have 100+ people and 400+ rams to take a relic. It's doable even without any plan, totally improvised.

Thanks to all who actually joined us in this "experimentary'ish" relic attempt. abit early eh albs? :cool:


anyways.. it's bedtime and i really don't intend to sleep. but what the heck, i'll give that a try aswell..

any idiot can take a rellic at 7 CET in the morning, wait, you didn't take it. Well maybe when you do get one at that time a night you can move the raid to more of a primetime hour like lets say 5 am and graduately work you way up to 2 am like a few alb raids. And when you do we won't be whining about the time like everybody else cause this is a 24 hour game. NN I'm off to bed :sleeping:

dunno if you noticed, but mids in general have been saying how they love the primetime raids more cus of the challenge.

we all know we can get 5fg or so and take a relic keep

its what the other realm does about it thats important

not whining, just pointing out that you guys have done yourself, what you have been bitching about for the last month or so, and you've blamed alb early morning relic raids for demoralising your realm, and spies for ruining previous raids.

well, I guess thers no answer for the lost Hibbie :)

Anyway I would like to thank all the defenders that left their 'half asleep gank da gobo/twee/whatever' modes in Barrows, Lyonesse and Dartmoor right away, got sane and moved to defend our (and their) relics. As well thanks to the plenty of donors that stayed thereafter and helped fix them gates again and the fine craftsmen and women that did the fixing into the early hours.

hehe.. i remember that celt, we was quite busy killing those uberknights to worry much about him :) whenever i got the chance he died and gave me exactly 2rp's. :clap:

this mornings raid was just for fun as no albs in emain to play with and crafting is so dam boring.but 30 ppl lvls 35-35 with 10 lvl 50 still managed with 3 rams to take down 1.5 doors at a time when the albs normaly raid so there is allways more albs than mids
and as for primtime raids let me think.
5 or 6 mid relic raids all at about 6-8 pm 1 i think at like 11 am on a saturday morning.
alb relic raids last 8 all at same time 2 am in the moring.
lol even the hibs can do relic raids at 6-8 pm and get relics albs have as of yet necr managed a prim time relic raid even tho thay managed to take dow 3 doors thay ran of forgeting to take the relic with them

Indeed it was newbies arranging it(Namely Oklahoma and me). But that doesn't necessary need to be a bad thing does it?
Atleast i did learn a great deal when trying to do this.

I didnt participate in the raid coz I hate the night time raids, but u sure as hell shouldnt whine about the time of the night, 2 am or 5 am, same shit! if its a 24/7 hrs game as u always say, then it sure as hell is a 24/7 game!

I dont think u want to see Rei, Hulbur or me arranging raids on u when most of the server is asleep.... as it was prooved this morning u dont need much planning to do NPC raid!

LOL, wonder why we took merlin staff from alb that day... I remember when first time we had 3 power relics I went sleep, get up and say wtf only 2 relics? :rolleyes:

Exactly and that was the point of lambsbreed reply .. a spur of the moment relic raid, no week long (oh well) preparation planning etc etc .. and you flame him for that (not you sub ;)).

My money on that they didnt go 100% for the relic as it was to test how far they could go (3 rams remember). But my hats of to you Oklahoma and Lambsbreed for the effort, and Xanatea.. that n00b comment was a bit uncalled for dont you think, encourage and help instead of pushing down;), noone is born ready you know.

Its great to see mids havent lost their fighting spirit. The last few days in sauvage have been fun fun fun and lots of nice rp. :)
Keep it up.

And gratz to Lambi for an almost completed raid. Im sure it takes alot of work to coordinate something like that. :)

I will always be ready to give a sparkly welcome to any and all foreigners visiting excalibur at whatever hour it may be. I will be the aoe cleric in the window, give me a kiss when you see me. :)

No just finding it amusing that you mids have whined about the time of alb raids, point out to us that anyone can get a rellic at that hour, try one even later and then ... fail

Well I think the most thx would go to Harpy for spotting the Mids. Not many online at the time, but ppl cared atleast to go defend it. Good job, u make me feel proud.

(Wasnt online at the time but a friend watched this on AS)

Merlimpt msged me about the mids and I told harpy since the char i was on at the time didn't have as access. He should get the credit imo..

anyways well defended and a good response from u albs even though you had to give up ur xp/drophunt groups in dartmoor or wherever to get to excal :)

I just like to thank everybody who showed up on the relic raid. Sub we only did it cause we wanted to give the albs a taste of their own medicine. We mids will do a relic raid at any time o the day and night now apparent so double up on your spies, your stealthers etc as your gonna need them.

In relation to the other subject about spys on midgard - SUB im well and trully sorry wont happen again :)

We did 2 attempts to start with 1st attempt was with 20 PPLs not 30 to 40 ppls and we knocked down 1.5 doors. But a uber spawn occured where we were fighting more or less all the guards at excalibur thats about 10 Uber guards 10 normall guards and 3 scouts on the windows and a few albs that turned up.

As we were proud with how good we did we decided to have another shot straight at it and managed to double our force. 1 problem occured though - the mass LD occured while on route and also occured during the 2nd attempt raid. Most healers were killed leaving the tanks to hope for a honourable death.

Still great fun though :D

So enuff said and get repairing albs :D
