Mid tanks--which one to choose?

oohw, but I can heal.. but I can also solo reds.... :D just can't spreadheal, but I have 2 insta's and well... nuff power to keep a group alive with singletargethealing :D

It´s just for solo imo, would suck totaly in group since with 22 mend you´ll heal utter crap tbh. Your baseline spells heals almost as much as your specc line heals. So like a shaman but with less utility. If you had wished to tank you should have rolled a tank and not a healer.

well to be honest, it depends on your play style :D

personally i find shield tank tedious to play (especially after zerker :p )

also 2 giant axes on valkyn in hamster mode >>>>>>>> all :D

oohw but it isn't just for solo m8, join with me, and experience my 37%celerity and base 17% attack speed :) you'll talk otherwise :p okay, I can get thesame celerity and basespeed when specced 44aug, 31mend, but I'd not have the red resistbuffs, red runspeed and selfbuffs then, and 24% body, spirit, energy is quite valueable to the group aswell, opposed to the yellow 16%. Okay, I don't have the spreadheal, and big mending heals, but when attacking big mobs they usually ask for small heals anyhow to avoid agro.

i've got a 50 warrior and a 50 savage

love the savage for pure damage, but he misses quite a bit (norse, h2h, so not amazing ws)
love the warrior for never getting hit.. ever (kobold, hammer spec, low str but high dex)

depends what you want to do really, savage/zerk with bg is just as good as a warrior with guard..

im thinking of making valkyn warrior just to see how its like (and they look cute in chain too! :p )

I used to be 48 pac 24 mend before the spread heal was implemented, at 23 mend you get the great heal, it consumes power etc but you need that to keep up with healing in rvr. Another thing with 22 + 11 +rr you´re bound to have a huge variance on your baseline heals also. It might be ok in pve for a group but in rvr i would never group with a healer that has gimped themself so much.

Red resists can be nice to have but don´t compensate bigger and more mana effecient heals you get with other specces. You don´t even have the 50% ress which is nice. Speed is a gimped reason since you mostly have a rm or skald in group nowdays in group anyway.

Another thing with caster groups getting more and more powerfull with grapple and bg, celerity and haste is hardly worth it. Aug healers need to heal in the group and they need to heal good since mostly only 2 healers. Basicly only reason for aug is the resists.

Then how about being able to carry two rams without getting encumbered?

I was talking about tanks--healers are not tanks, however you put it--and furthermore I would have no intention of gimping myself with a healer spec proposed above. :cool: As for the initial question, I have rolled /level 20 toons of all three classes (all Trolls of course!), and I am currently levelling the Savage, even if I was leaning towards the Warrior a lot. Maybe I will regret this when NF hits, but at least I can enjoy myself until then. :)

Can do the same with some buffs easily, allways have a shaman with in group anyway. And mostly tanks like to carry ram stuff anyway. It´s a poor argument to specc aug anyway.

About savages, a lot of the old school savages quiting atm since they are basicly reduced to bodyguard and grapple bots with grapple around. So would rather go warrior i think.
