Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 5-button with DAoC

So I got this 5-button mouse which I want to setup to work with DAoC.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software to access the setup options and, while I kept the default settings, I have the option to use program-specific settings.

So I setup the 2 thumb-buttons with my wishes (namely, nearest target and /face), to work with camelot.exe.

It does not work.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks in advance.

Setting up the intellimouse is not as logical as it could be, but basically you have to do this:

Setup the mouse in Windows. Assign the buttons you want to use to keys on your keyboard.

In DAoC, or any other prog, map the KEY to the function you want.

Hopefully when you now press you rmouse button, the coreesponding key action should happen!

No it doesn't.

I have assigned "target nearest ennemy" to F1 in the DAoC setup and /face to the "Y" key.

I put the same setup in the intellimouse setup software (little thumb and big thumb) but it does not work.

Odd!

I'm downloading the latest intellipoint software as I type this, then I'll try it out.

9Meg for mouse software... sheesh!

The program specific option doesn't seem to work as you said. maybe the exe is only used to load the dll files (which can't be selected!)?

The global settings work fine though (i.e. non program specific).
