Micro ATX

Hello

I'm interested in either of these two micro atx m/b from ocuk.

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=475

However I am not sure the case I want to put it in is suitable for micro atx m/b's. It previously held a p3 slot 1 m/b not sure if that was micro atx or not, but it had a low width to provide room for the cd-rom in the case. Below is the pic of the case I want to put it in. It measures 29cm X 24cm screw to screw. Or can I get a full size m/b in there?

Dump the case and get a new one, the positioning of the PSU is going to obstruct the airflow over the processor and probably add heat to it too.

I may be out of touch a little but the words VIA and 400 send shivers down my spine.

I'd agree with Kameleon and seriously consider ditching the case, there's insufficient clearance between the CPU HSF and PSU for decent airflow, and the entire far edge of the motherboard looks like it's going to be hidden between drive bays - on top of that when you add cd-roms and other devices they'll overlap futher, possibly jeopardising DIMM placement, not to mention cables etc.

thanks for the replies :) so a micro atx m/b is a no no.

I'd get rid of it on ebay, but I haven't a box for it, nor can I find one, I will prolly bubble wrap it.

Shame really as it is a very solid case.

I've got a case where the PSU sits over the CPU HSF, and while it runs hot, it isn't a danger. Certainly not so bad that I should go buy a new case.

Though I did have to get a 1u heatsink so everything would fit in.
