I'm planning to buy MGS2 on the 8th but never owned the original (never played more than the first few mins)

Is it worth me renting it out to play so I will have a clue what is going on in MGS2?

also, how long does it take to play through?

tbh I left this one to gather dust on my shelf, while its doubless a very playable game, I got bored silly by the constant "Beep Beep" heres your commander annoying you with a message again stuff.

I'd say maybe a couple of weeks to complete unless you played it for long stretches

MGS1 was the last game I actually completed!!

People that know me know that I rarely have the patience to play games all the way through so that I did with MGS1 should tell you something.

I have a feeling though that going back to a PS1 game will need some pretty thick rose tinted specs though.

In its day MGS was a sexy looking game. 1st class. The game play, music and generally everything about it was made the game a classic. I recommend getting MGS1. I still have it, but as said before going back to it from PS2 games you kinda get disappointed. Just hope MGS2 is as good as the first.

No, it'd take someone less than 2 days to complete it, it's VERY short.

I got about ¾ of the way through it in 2 days... didn't really like it tbh so I'll be avoiding #2 like the plague...

I had 2 days to finish it as I borrowed it from the video shop. Soon after I brought it though.

Haven't had a chance to play it recently. Just past the Harrier.
