There are two issues here really.
1) I suspect that not all the mezzes are on the same timer. I've conducted a few tests with a friendly pac healer, and the immunity timer does indeed work for 1 min. However when it comes to large scale rvr, I've definately been chain-mezzed by hibs and mids. I'm not accusing them of cheating or anything, but I suspect that there are a few bugs in the system that prevent the immunities being invoked.
2) Out in rvr, in the heat of combat, you'd be amazed just how short 1 min is.

you are suposed to have an immunity timer when players mezz you however it only applies too the person who mezzed you the first time. However if someone else mezzes you then you are mezzed for the full duration. Then if someone else mezzes you the same happens. Eventually if you live through it you will be immune too the mezz. personally i was always told never too double mezz things because it halved the duration of the mezz. I never really understood that and i think its changed and noone ever told me

All mezzes are on the same immunity timer regardless of damage type of that mez.
However, at least before 1.67 it was definately bugged and sometimes you could find yourself chain mezzed in RvR and people have reported that it does seem to be mostly after two different types of mezzer have got you but under normal RvR conditions its nearly impossible to tell and I suspect that most of the people that say this are guessing about the source.
I'm unsure after 1.67 what the state of play is regarding whether the bug has been fixed.

I have a question in context to this issue...when u get mezzed and have no means to get out b4 duration runs out...is the immunity from ur hit by the mez or when u are released from it? ive often been mezzed almost immediately after a mez has run out?!
