Id say go for it mate :)

Personally, I couldnt give a shit about the law in this country, half our poloticians break it and the other half get locked up and are back out in 6 months anyway :(

Or they get released even though they are illegal immegrants who suddenly disappear

Givf Maggie Thatcher tbh, she would kick this country back into touch

A number of my mates have started their police careers with the Met, it's one of the easiest, if not the easiest to join, and once in you can then apply for transfers to other forces in the country.

Hmm, not sure really what you want to know about it. Being a policeman/woman is bloody hard work depending on where you're stationed and you're stuck between a rock and hard place most of the time. It's also incredibly rewarding when you get it right though :)

One of my oldest friends did 12 years in the Met, started as a joe bloggs beat officer and ended up working in the Diplomatic Protection Service looking after various top politicians including Margaret and Denis Thatcher, then he transfered back up to Yorkshire and now works in Ripon.

It's a good career with a decent salary, good pension and an early retirement providing you do your 30 years.
