If you want to listen to all of the songs and don't worry mods, it's their official site so I'm sure it's legal :)

Maybe all the napster fanboys and 'sell-out-broken-record-whiners' can finally cockoff.

Enjoy :)

Meh, so so :p they really shouldn't have made Unforgiven III tho :( the other 2 unforgiven songs were great... unforgiven III is abysmal.

People need to listen to this properly. Stick headphones on and crash on your sofa with a pint or something.

Good album, some solos/guitaring didn't seem right, his vocals in some tracks are iffy, but generally a good album. Suggest buying.

To be honest... i sadly wasnt that impressed at all, didnt find a single song i liked :(

In my opinion Metallica was at their peak with the black album and for me it has been a rapid decent into crappiness from there...

I find that the more I listen to music the more it tends to grow on me. Comparing this album at the moment to the black album which I think was their best when I know all the black album songs and am hearing these for the first time is slightly unfair. I'll decide how good it really is once i've listened to it for a week or two.

If u can actually say the black album is the best, u don't really like heavy i guess or metallica. The first 4 albums are in all ways better than the black 1, but the new 1 is not. Actually i haven't really found a song i like on it yet, but it might come with time. What bothers me most is the anoying snare drum sound lars has started to use. Yes i know it's tuned down from ST. Anger but its still there. That alone destroys alot of the sound image for me.
I got no idea why he vent away from the sound his kit had on Mop or Ajfa.:drink:
It might not help that i got it running on my mp3 along with live shit and bing purge:) Wich in my humble opinion is the best they have ever released:).

I prefer the lighter stuff sure. I've never really been a huge fan of really heavy stuff.
I've never understood the "if you don't think the heavy stuff is the best your not a Metallica fan" crap. Just sounds like band fanboys upset that people can actually like different styles of music to them and find their bands music good as well.

Still have no idea why metallica seems to be the band everyone wants to have an opinion about and critisize. If you like it, good for you, if you don't I'm sorry to hear that. Lets not get into this whole debate.

I'll tell you what though, I'm pretty sure if this had of been released under a different name (I know people would still know who it is but think about a perfect world here ;)) it would have gotten a lot better press.

Aye, how the album worked for me too. Had to listen to it twice to actually like it. First time it sounds odd, but if you listen to them all in order and actually listen, it's alright.

ALSO, Ride The Lightning was the best album. Hmppf.

Well doing a 180 degrees can be hard for some to cope with inc me i guess. And that is basicly what the black album is compared to the first 4. Im not saying its bad i find it decent. Im just saying black album and the rest is nothing compared to the first 4 in my humble opinion.:fluffle:

I think it's a good album, some of the songs really grew on me and i really like them. I like pretty much all the metallica albums, i decided to take them for what they are and not expect a copy of a previous album and it's resulted in me almost liking even St. Anger. For what it is it's not a bad album imo.
