I am curently looking for a good mentalist staff at the moment. I am aware that the ones with nice procs etc are drops from SH (i.e. The warstaffs ) But iam unsure of there specs etc so any info would be great, I currently do not have one of these!

What im really looking for is a High Powered Mana Staff with a nice proc ! Does anyone know where i can get one from, some locs and Mobs to kill would be appreciated ;0)

There are loads of mentalist staves around. The Warshadow staff of Mentalism is a typical example, it has +3 to mentalism, 50 levels of focus in mentalism, a nice Int bonus and 3 charges of a DD spell that don't work as of this patch.

Since my mentalism skill bonus is already well over cap with all the other +ment junk I've accumulated, and I only ever use mentalism for emergency healing, and my Int is already capped, and I'm never so stupid as to hit things with a stick, the only reason I ever use this lump of wood is that it is a nice red colour that goes with my robes and has a really cool red glow when you cast with it.

If you're looking for a staff that actually helps you cast spells, the 40 epic (+37 focus all lines and 20% spirit) or the Talishard of the Triumvirate (+36 focus all lines and +12 Int) are good. Better yet would be the Staff of The Archmentalist with +44 focus in all 3 lines and +15 Int, but you'll have to wait for DF for that one.

Or, if you really are after a mana only item, try looking for the Warshadow staff of the Moon (+50 focus mana, +3 mana, +12 Int, +4 pow). I've never seen one of these, but they have been reported as dropping on the US servers.

It does work.

Hotbar the staff, target your victim, hold down the use key (default 'E'), press the hotbar icon...and watch your victim being nuked for 331dmg (+ a crit for at least the same amount )

I have 2 of these I think, but one of em has no charges left due to some troll I just *had to* kill

btw: that staff is only usable if you are lvl50
