Thanks Chronic.

It's nice to see someone wishing people "Merry Christmas" again. Here in Canada, we have become so politically correct that people now say "Happy holidays" .. even to the extent of some retail organisations instructing their staff to follow this policy.

So as not to exclude those forumites who do not celebrate Christmas, I wish you a (belated) Happy Hannukah, Happy Kwanza, and Happy Holidays ... but I still say ..

Just had the Red Cross telling staff to take down Xmas decorations, so as not to offend other religions.

It appears they are worried about appearing Christian and this may effect operations in the middle east.

This is the organisation who's symbol is taken from the Christian Crusaders who pillaged and murdered their way across Arabia to rid the world of the dreaded Muslim

My roomie/flatmate just said something quite profound after I read some of these posts to her. She said "I don't really think people who are firm in their own beliefs would feel at all threatened by someone wishing people Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah or Eid Mubarak."

I totally agree.

I don't know what I'm getting for Christmas, but someone will be getting the CD/stereo from my car. I went down to the locked underground parking, walked past the video surveillance cameras, to find my car had been very professionally broken into, and the stereo missing. Could have been worse though, I still have a car.
