Ok, we're all tough ninja wannabee, porn loving gun toting geeks but I bet you like the odd Rom Com.

Four Weddings and a Funeral is on Channel 4 tonight and I had to say I really love this film.

It's not the only Rom Com I like either, When Harry met Sally, Pretty Woman; I've watched them dozens of times (They didn't have the same street cred at Uni as Man Bites Dog or Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer but I had better luck with the ladies :p)

So 'fess up lads.

What are your favourite Romantic Comedies?

How to lose a guy in 10 days was great from the viewpoint of what she did being cliche women mistakes in a relationship

Brigitte Jones Diary was very good. I was gutted when she lost all that weight, looks like a wafer thin mint now.

I really really liked four weddings, apart from the whole Hugh Grant falling in love with Andie MacDowell bit. That was utter utter dog turd.

You're all puffs. I hate them all :p

*cough*HighFidelity*cough*

(well - at least it's a rom-com in disguise. And I got through this without mentioning When Harry Met Sally.. At least - it's only because Billy Crystal hits it on the head when he says men and women can't really be friends - you end up wanting to fuck 'em)....

OOps :(

Hmm I want to see Keira Knightly in that new british romantic comedy.

Not too great a film overall, but I kinda enjoy Groundhog day.

On another note, My Big Fat Greek Wedding is a boring, shit crap, naff romantic comedy. Argh what a waste of my life!

I liked When Harry Met Sally, but being a Woody Allen fan most of his are "rom coms", e.g. Hanna and her Sisters, A Midsummer Nights Sex Comedy, Love and Death, etc.

Yeah, I like the odd one. Wouldn't say it's a favourite genre but as long as they have some intelligence and a smidgen of originality, I can really enjoy romantic comedies.

Watched Four Weddings when it was on TV and I have to say even though I've seen it a few times before, I noticed new jokes. The dialogue is pretty sharp in that one.

Bridget Jones's Diary totally surprised me. I went in thinking 'Why the hell am I seeing this?' and left feeling really satisfied.

Will probably go and see Love Actually as I have some friends (some are male) who are addicted to these Brit Rom Com Richard Curtis things.

It's being advertised as "The Ultimate Romantic Comedy" which is a little unwise in my opinion. Having cameos by just about every British actor an American audience could recognise (and some they won't) does not a good film make. But I'm not going to prejudge it too much as they've all been pretty good so far.

I just wonder how much further the genre can go after this one.

they are making a brigitte Jones 2, and Rene Zelwigger (spell it as it sounds) supposedly had to set her alarm in the middle of the night eat a burger then go back to bed. Just so she could put on the weight again.

But as for Rom Com's i Think Notting hill was ok. maid in manhatten too coz its got j-lo in it, just coz u see her in jodphur-esque trousers.

just Married was kinda funny, also How to loose a guy was ok too. But when she bought him all the Burburry stuff *ick*

Because its only bordering on "comedy", I'd group that one with Manhatten and Stardust Memories.
