Members: 23,368?

I just clicked on the list of users with BD's today. Some haven't posted sine 2001, some never.
Is there not a case for a membership sweepup?
BW have the users emails, email them, "use your account or we delete in 30 days" or something. It's boring reading through that list each day, when most don't really exist anymore.

Any guesses on how many users are actually active?
I'll take a stab at less than 1,000, daoc'ers included.

I'd say about 3k.

At peak times there's about 500 ppl on the forums simultaneously.

But yeah, sweep-up req'd.

On reflection 3k might be nearer, or even up to 5k.
"The Suits" will know this figure from logons, after all some prefer just to lurk and not post.

Surely you could just delete everyone with the old. prefix before their name as a starting point? That'd clear quite a lot.

to make sure, also delete all those with teh "!" after their name

Even better would be: To see who last logged in and when, if after a certain period of time, they haven't checked in, delete 'em.

Yes, but after a warning email, giving peeps an opportunity to use their account. It would also be good for BW as it is a good excuse to email users and get them back here if they have lapsed.
