Melee spec?

As maybe 1 or 2 of you know on one of my previous nightshades I was indeed melee spec (19 stealth, 17 envenom, 15 CD and 18 blades) and I have also tried several other specs both including and excluding Critical strike and I just wanted to say that Melee spec simply can't be compared to Critical strike spec. I didn't notice that I was dual hitting very much more, high DoT was nice, 55 str/con debuff really didn't pay off enough because all it did was debuff con that I had already taken away in my initial hit. Buffed casters would take me if they played it smart.

The one thing I liked with this spec was high and consistant dmg and the fact that I might get one xtra hit in because the other stealther is trying to line up a strike but even that wasn't worth it. about 50% of stealther fights (not archers) I get a crit strike off which does way more dmg than the dot and 55 str/con debuff can even compare to.

Low down: Spec CS, it's good stuff. One spec that I found worked rather well for me was 12 envenom, 21 CS, 19 stealth, 16 weap. I found it to be the most optimal of the different spcs I have tried. All +5 ofc.

Oh and before you start laughing at the fact that I am blades (if you have noticed) know that I have 106 str unbuffed as an elf. thats around 5-10 less weapskill than most pierceshades I know and I get an advantage on mid studded, mid leather, albs studded? It's good stuff

Blades = alb slash afaik so all albs neutral to blades.
As for spec my inf kicked arse (imo ) with 21CS, 14thrust, 17env, 19 stealth rest in DW so i think CS is best, was a long time ago but i think i remember the spec right

On my two infi's Ive specced them:

Shwartz: 21 CS, 15 thrust, 17 env, 19 stealth, 7 DW

Badbreath: 21 CS, 13 slash, 17 env, 21 stealth, 5 DW

Pierce/thrust are good for mid chain & alb studded & chain
Slash/blades are good for mid leather
Crush is good for plate & scale

I found that 21 CS for PA was excellent having often done driveby PA ie moving in stealth to a caster, PAing and running away, 80% of the time they died in 1, 10% of the time they died to dot 10% they had mates that wtfpwn'd me.

As a infi I would deff. do 21 CS for PA, 17 env for str/con debuff, 19+ stealth, DW Ive been told isn't worth it at low lvls so perhaps I would do 16 thrust rest in DW. BUT!! all this is possible with infi's overpwred 2.5x skill points. as a mid/hib I would def spec 19 stealth, 21 CS, 15 env rest to melee & LA/CD

I was thinking of doing a lvl 24 mercfil but I think that it would get wtfpwn'd because imho Albs dont have any decent low lvl moves apart from Garrote(18 CS)

Like I said I have tried very men different specs and higher envenom>Higher weap spec. with 16+5 blades and 106str I was 179 weapskill, with 18+5 blades I was 184 weapskill.

I was long time PA spec with 6.0 speed 2hander, and it's fun to drop casters&blues in 1 PA...but it's not helps with skilled assasins
infi's spec stand's outside from SBs and NS...they have more skillpoints and can have s/c debuff, PA, stealth and acceptable weaponskill at once
Last SB I was made was 18cs (for garrote - best anytime in BG) 18st 17enven 16 weap
This spec is designed for fighting other assasins mostly
Would recoment you heat 3.9 azge also, will helps alot

My new SB reached thid this weekend, and imo it totally pwnz
Specced 20EV (fer the 25 dot, 2 charges of it actually make good damage) 17sword(couldnt reach 18 but it was the 15 move i was after so whadevah) 12LA (Get slowing combo, which when it hits and with a slowpoison makes em totally imobile) 19stealth (ofc) and no CS.
It such a relief to be able to attack from whatever position u come from. I should allso note that i've never been soloed by an infil/ns... only time i got soloed was a sorc finding me when i was lagging heavilly, forgot poisons and didnt have time to take up any of my extra poisoned swords.
My previous SB was CS specc, and it was so annoying when u were going after a running target to cut his line and hit him, but had no chance fer either PA or Backstab II (which i found actually more usefull than PA some times since it got stun and a nice followup)

20 Envenom (+5 = better dot)
19 Weapon (Ubar damage better then average WS)
12 CD (Normally used back style for snare along with Disease + DoT)
17 stealth
2 CS (penetrate mage bt if needed + short stun)

Loved this...just ran up to them snared, whack them to put dot and str/con debuff on, run most would fall dead if they didnt id reapply dot or switch wep and hit them again

dafft whats so gimp? I still havent gotten soloed by any infil or NS. I dare you, come take me SOLO, WITHOUT a whole stealth zerg or a whole lineup of scouts penetrating first poor sb to unstealth! I am not uber1337fotmsb (sbs cant even b fotm ) but i am enough to beat the crap out of 99.5% of Thidranki if i only get them on equal grounds

Narf....hehe, well since Im lvling me infi old skool with no PL involved, it'll take a few days to lvl to 24

and btw, I have only ever stealthzerged once in the past year & 3/4 and that was 2~3 days ago when I grped up with 7 other infi's

I hate stzerg's tbh.........like I hate critblade's and shadowzerks & little furry green men that run around saying oh wat a nice teapot I have

yeh tried your spec out bud on my ns (February) It's good- not been in thid as much lately as im helping my bro get his NS up so we can duo

Best all round spec i found is 19 stealth, 21 cs, 15 env, rest in pierce (14 i think?). Works well, with +5 to all ofc- Feb was specced that way the first 4 times she capped
