Melee ranger temps.....

So i'm flirting with the idea of dropping my 50 bow and going hybrid, unfortunately i am struggling finding the right template. At the moment i'm pierce specced but if a template is good enough i may go blades. Anyone have good "melee" ranger templates they care to share?

Toys are fun
Unyeilding will proc can be up with WH when SoM is down, it also helps when being shot at sieges as the dot/heal proc interupts attacking archers, it has saved my arse a few times.
BoS spraggonator charge is great for interupting casters, better than GS javelins as it also debuffs.

Having those extra toys is often a much better lifesaver than a few more hit points.

Any thoughts on this one?

Yes they are LGM crafted weapons, giving the template 50af.

Ahh right.
I guess if it was matter leggies that would be grand, as the other resists (except for energy) tend to be capped on most peeps these days with CL resists ontop.

If you intend to start the fight at mos5 range on stealthers for example or at regular range on visable toons the debuff on the bow procs quite a bit and its a nice speed

The bow is 5.6 in hib afaik

I think the piercers are 3.5 speed
Kinda fast but you'll get 4% melee speed, damage and style damge by dual weilding them

the belts also has a 10% incombat resist buff, when stacked with PD and RF slash resistances you'll see 50% resist to damage from all the malice/champ weapon stealthers out there easy and you'll be getting +damage after resists on alot of folk with their gimped energy resists.

weapon choise.... pierce id go GS + croc tooth and champ bow

artis: gov, Shark gloves, wh, som... allso if u dont wanna use golm to get bow stats then u can use eeri stone. and resti is high util stuff

think that could make a decent base for a decent temp.... i dont have loki on laptop so cant try it out

mybe use ml10 legging allso, but then you have only 2 crafted items and can be hard to fit if ur not dead on whit temp, like Aiteal

my personal advice is to not go blades.

you need aug str 4 as elf or luri imo to get that real high bang factor.

You will have low WS and when WS debuffed you will find it hard to land hits.

malice isnt a great timer and also I slightley found with malice and battler I had too many timers. yer u can have too many.

My final melee template was pierce and it was definety the most pwnage thing I have ever ran. it was nice and simple to play but the damage was awsome.

First time i was RS and didnt really want to fight after losing dex/qui...and second time...i decided to try and bring my bb to get some of your free rps...but sadly i couldnt target Bled doors for some weird reason. So i decided to just own u...and that i did if u can recall what happened (unless u couldnt stop crying).

Yeah i agree on blades, most ppl said go blades but it meant wasting 20 rp on aug str to be effective. I like your temp although the resists are a bit low. I have modified it slighty to get better resists, see what you think.
