Why dont we say every Saturday night at 9pm anyone who wants a big game with no newbies or lamers meets up in #uktl ?
And we just grab any admins who can set it up for us.

What's wring with newbies? You were one once, and I've been playing Tribes since February 1999 (That's well over a year) and I still consider myself a newbie...

when your trying to have a proper game with on team changers and balanced fair teams and have fun then no newbies is the only way to play. I define newbie as someone who doesnt go in #uktl as its where are the tribed up people and decent people go.

Yeah, I can see that. Although I also have to say that I've had many a fantastic game with balanced, fair teams - and many's the time I've seen clanned and unclanned players alike team change the ensure that the game remains fair.

And what's this about visiting #uktl? I haven't got time to do that - and I didn't when I was playing Tribes every day either - does that make me a newbie? (despite playing Tribes for over a year and calling myself a newbie that is)

I am in a Tribe, yes - Darkside. I have never played a match for them and I never will. Darkside have been kind enough to include me on their roster as it makes it a lot easier when people ask me to join a particular clan/tribe/whatever.

And when I do play for a tribe, it's for BW - BarrysWorld

Don't limit yourselves, and if matches get less than fun, I think voting is still enabled

I play and hour a day from mon-thurs,about 5 hours on friday and more over the weekend

heh cro, you certainly are still a newbie if you think you play for DS. They quit tribes ages ago, and sadly folded a month or so back (think they were mostly consumed by the evil TS squad)

heh... i'll never forget that DS V TD game on iceridge (gawd knows what league) Think I got about 20 kills of Poker and those invincible mines that wouldn't blow up no matter how hard he tried!

Nope, I;m still in DS - even if I am the only player

As I said, I only used DS (with their permission) as a convenient tribes/clan to claim allegiance to.

BTW - DS are hosted on BarrysWorld, and I'm the BarrysWorld hosting manager

The 20 or 30 who aren’t playing tribes ;-)

Sadly a lot of tribed players on public servers change servers rather than teams if they find the game's unbalanced and not to their favour. Still I always assume they've had a bad day ;-)

The thing i find most depressing these days is when you see one team slaughter another 8-0 on a map in 5mins, then have someone from the winning side switch (making teams unbalanced in numbers but closer in reality), and watching all the tribed players on the now reduced side scream that the sides arent fair...
