Last time I played EVE was in the closed beta, so well over a year ago. Suffering from ennuye regarding other mmorpgs... Stopped DAoC (playing since EU beta) jsut before ToA came out. CoH was a nice break but levelling became too slow for my couple of hours/night play style.

Then I noticed EVE on www.game.net on special offer for a fiver though so decided to buy and it's on its way here. Downloaded the 2 week trial in the meantime (which I can apparently link to my purchased copy and get the free month too by asking customer service nicely). Eitherway, we'll see how it goes :) Perfectly happy to pay £6 to try it for a month and if I don't like it, no real loss. With a 9-5 job now though, I don't have time for grindable mmorpgs which is why EVE might just be what's needed. See you in game soon :)

edit: and puzzle-pirates(.com) might well be a DAoC killer but it's a lil slow ;)

I've ended up back in EVE (due, in part, to absentmindedly never canceling the subs when I started playing CoH).

I don't have much in the way of cash (stupidly loosing my Thorax to some rats doing for my bank balance), but give me a shout on Lucilli Black if you want something.

Thanks for the offer, 'tis appreciated. I'm doing fine though. When I started I got given a million ISK from a benefactor. I've done my best to not go into it though and made a couple of million myself :) Currently running missions for the Republic Security Services (Minmatar cloak & dagger stuff) and talking to some of the better Matari corps about joining them in the fight against the Amarr scum. ;)

you cant transfer a char on a trial account to another account

that reply you get from ccp support but you can turn your trial account too a real account just get into the admin account and print in your credit card details voila you are a paying custumer

Beside that yes people are nicer in EVE comparing too the daoc people and the game dont have the grinding factor who suits daddys like my self to be able to play mmorpgs..

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. When you have a trial account the only way to upgrade via the website is to pay 20euros to convert it into a full account.Since I had already bought the retail version, I wasn't overly enthusiastic about paying, effectively, twice.

Since I'd heard that it could be done I contacted Customer Services. They told me to create an account with my (store bought) cd key and they'd move the character over. I did and they did indeed do as they said they would, moving the character on my trial account over to my (store bought) full account, for free. Took them a few days but they were helpful and friendly about it :)

Basically, my trial account just became my full account but the easiest way for them to "upgrade" it was to transfer the characters. Makes no difference (besides losing out on a few free days) to me :)
