I'm looking for a decent torque wrench for use while fiddling with my mountainbike. As I'm useless with tools I'd like expert advice ;)
I've heard that Norbar make decent ones, but tbh I'm looking for one that goes from say 5 to 60Nm and doesn't cost a black market sold kidney. Something like this one perhaps?

helpy please!!

I felt obliged to reply because no one else did, but I can't offer any advice. :(

I missed the "Kidney" bit when I first read this, however...

The last torque wrench you'll ever need to buy is almost certainly in this list.

Torque spanners are for women. Real men just tighten it up until it creaks.

The one you linked to in the original post looks fine TdC, they have cheaper ones on that Farnell site that would do the job but as you say you were after a semi-decent one.

Every tool I use at work is PROTO, sooo much better than anything else (except their chisels which seem to fall to bits at the mere sight of a hammer)

We use the bigger versions of this since we dont really have much need for anything so small. Most of the torquing we do on process flanges etc is in excess of 500 ft/lbs so we tend to use hydraulic tensioning gear.

I would highly recommend PROTO Teed's, but I have no idea where you would get it from in Holland.

RS will get them to you. Since wilier is the mechanical expert I would go for his recommendation. At 153 pounds ( no bloody pound sign  ) it may be edging into kidney territory but it looks nice.

In fairness, RS are way overpriced for tools, we actually get a 40% discount but still pay over the odds from them.

We get most of our hand tools from a company called Cromwell who have a local office, but I really dont know where youd get them from in the land of cheese and porn. :(
