Hi everyone ,


I'm currently playing on alb/excal as an lvl44 cleric and due boredom i'm thinking of exploring hib/excal , the question is , what should i make? I'd like a char tht could do some dmg in RvR and can also support the realm , anyone any ideas?

both can heal, support the group (pbt/buffs or hot/pot), and do damage in rvr, though warden damage is pretty low.

Well it depends, why are you bored as a lvl 44 cleric on Alb/Pryd?

Damage + Support... I'd say Mentalist, maybe Light Eldritch... warden is great support but has poor damage like Novamir says. Druids with pets are actually harder in duels than wardens, so I guess you could consider a druid too (get group purge please (; )

Personally I think shades and rangers are excellent support + damage dealers in RvR, but it's hell leveling one to 50 + you are likely to get lonely )':

Wardens - really needed in groups these days, especially 30+ but even before then they're damn handy to have around

mentalists - these seem to be hit and miss, if you spec wrongly I've heard menties complain that it's hard to get groups, people really want that mana regen buff ..

shield hero/ champ - you can always respec later to another weapon but shields are so damn handy to have in any group and make pbaoe groups run a lot smoother

bards - sometimes there's millions of them running around then 2 mins later there's hardly any. personally I love the class but you'll either be needed or not, people dont seem to care if they get a good bard or not since they think all we do is afk with song on

right now if I was starting a char I'd definatly go a warden and get that pulsing blateturn ASAP. you can rocket from 38-50 in no time these days with a warden.

Really? There is 10000 wardens running around now, and I feel I'm stuck on 39 with mine. Sometimes there is 4 wardens in a group, hehe. Now THAT is bubble power

Mentalist is a nice class, and I think it's very versatile, but also not very well known... meaning people will most likely look for a druid/bard/eldritch before they look for a mentalist in the average xp/RvR groups, although nobody will deny mentalists are good to have.

Menty´s potencially hib´s best nuker hands down. U can spec mana/mentalism all the way to 40 then respec and have 45 light 25 mana 17 mentalism, balanced and really good spec.

Strange how few ppl cry nerf on mentalists since IMO they r one of the hardest class to face (orange lvl 53+ pet anyone?) and beat.

Druid with 35 regrowth 19 nuture 16 nature is prolly the best dueler in hib (prolly in game) though...

well he's up and running now , Isildorian lvl8 mental , i think i'm going to divide a bit the points between light/mana till lvl 20 and then respec all into mana , or light gotta see some menta's in action before i decide what to take
