You had how many swings on me ? 4 or 5 ? And all but one got evaded

How to stop assassins evading:

1. Stun them, they can't evade then

2. Side strafe a little so you're not within their frontal arc (can go horribly wrong and give you the "You were strafing in combat and miss" message, so I wouldn't really advise it

3. You can attack them from behind, best way of doing this, run through them, tap /stick or /face, run through them *again* and keep on repeating, all the while spamming your styles, if you get the timing right they'll end up getting lots of "target not in view" stuff too(if you get it horribly wrong, or have bad lag, you'll be getting target not in view stuff tho lol). If they don't have /stick on you you can just stop after running behind them once of course....


Also if matt gets in 2 good hits I reckon he should be able to kill SBs in 2 hits, he *should* hit for more than I do (if the dual wield hits both times) and I can sometimes kill SBs in 3 hits. also killed a noob yellow con SB yesterday in 2 hits (think he prob wasn't 50 tho), he sees mal messed, he goes up to mal. mal is spinning randomly while messed to avoid positional attacks from anyone, noob SB /sticks on mal, then tries to strafe into position for PA. He continues to try to get into position while mal keeps spinning until mez wears off, and then he finally attacks cos his skald friend starts screaming that mez has run out

a Dualwield SB has probably a better chance to get stun-styles on him than he on the SB (<evade> - Comeback - Frosty Gaze)

to 2.)
Doublefrost isn't positon based, nor is Comeback.

to 3.) ... and when the Assassin got /stick on you from the start of the fight, you're very likely to get hit in the back (sure hit) while you run through and get a "Target not in view" message yourself. Few people use /stick though.

Well, the single hit I took from him cost me an incredible amount of HPs ... like 10% ... so 2-shotting is pretty hard.

Even a Slash-Polearmsman needs 3 hits to kill me. And take into count that I attack twice during one of his swings (usually) and as long as I evade (Evade VII + Dodger III) he doesn't scratch me at all.

Soulblades and Shadowzerks are a nightmare in any situation ... Crit-blades are too easily out-maneuvered (sp?) due to their position-based attacks (i.e. spinng randomly)

1) irrelevent to what I said, I was listing ways of stopping an asssassin from evading , not what is gauranteeed to work every single fight.. yes an assassin will evade more and get to use stun styl more (since DW stun is off parry I think?) and evade is better than parry..

2) Not being in an enemies frontal arc prevents them from evading you.. has absolutely nothing to do with positional styles, your comment on this one has even less relevence

3)As I said, it's about getting your timing right with it.. ie it takes practice, the first few times you try it you will prob mess up and make yourself get the out of view thing more than your enemy. however with practice you can get it done right most of the time. I said this implicitly in my first post tho..

So please next time, read what I say thoroughly before you reply with such a poorly thought through counter post

Wrote the above in 5min-breaks so didn't take much time reading, so :

1.) Matt's template : 44/44/44
Stun Styles : Hypnotic Darkness (DW) chains of Reflection (parry)
Parry against a Dualwielder .... pretty crappy, so rather unlikely to happen.
With 50 Crush he'd get a Stun style that chains off a side positional style, which leads to ...

2.) Thought you implied to turn your side towards your opponent to and use the 120° Front Arc to use Side positional Styles. My Fault.
Strafing surely won't work against me ... and we're talking about Matt's and my's 1o1 afterall

3.) that's exactly what I'm doing if I ain't sure if my opponent uses /stick or not. If he/she does use it, it'll result in a few painful hits in the back most of the time.
Your Opponent doesn't use /face or /stick => good for you
Your Opponent does use /face or /stick => bad bad for you ... no matter timing or whatever

Anything I (still) got wrong ?

Anything I (still) got wrong ?

1)I parry a lot in a 1 vs 1 vs midgard dual wielders.. the left axe hits (ie the actual left axe, not the styles etc..) are incredibly easy to parry as they have no to hit bonus at all.... (and yes I know you get negtives to parry or something, but trust me, I parry the second axe loads -- even when I wish I didn't )

2) I said it was an option, but not one I'd try either

3) opponent doesn't use /stick or /face => good for you, yep I'd have to agre with that..
opponent uses /stick => this is even better for me
opponent uses /face , I cannot comment on this one, I have never seen a non-caster do this and thus have no experience with it

Narve was not afk as i said i have even seen him killed by a lv44 merc you fat ugly troll

Ok retry me at lv50......... crush dosn't have a 9 sec stun its broken atm anyway 44/50/37 is my template.

When you yellow con and more easy to hit

Still fair play for being the ONLY lv50 sb to have killed me lv45+

Also having near 2000 hp and 635af i will be harder

Matt, SBs don't have a BT.

Ever heard of Wild Power? RoD? Staff Charges? Do you really think you'd have a chance to hit IP? Coz if I'm ready for you, I doubt you will.
