Matrix Reloaded DVD - no special edition?

OK, so the Matrix: Reloaded DVD is coming out as we speak, or already is, one of them, but just in "pure" form? No special edition? Nothing fancy?

Now, I'm a cynic, so I'm expecting there to be a very nice double pack of the 2nd and 3rd films as soon as everyone has bought enough of the individual versions, but does anyone know when/what special editions - if any of course - there are going to be?

Ta.

I just missed the "order now" offer, with a blow up George W. Bush doll with mount for only $149.95 :(

To be honest I couldn't give a shit about a special edition boxed set.
The same old crap "Behind the scenes" etc. I'm not interested.
I just want to see the film, I don't care how many times Keanu stubbed his toe, or how long it took them to iron out his wooden acting, it's the film I'm interested in seeing.

Even if it was a bit pants.

It's extented editions that I'd be interested in, the usual DVD gumf is a less an issue to be honest. And yes, I know the film is long enough as it is...

I heard that the complete animatrix is on the reloaded dvd.. so I may buy this as I ain't seen animatrix.

There is matrix part 1 SE out, but it's too expensive ( saw it at HMV called gold ed sommat for about £20-£25

I wanted the inevitable trilogy set, but I got bored waiting and bought part 1 as part of the 3 for £20 @GAME... BARGIN :)

No such tin mate.

As for the Matrix films in general - they have never really had a super "special" edition as such. Part one was only ever re-released with the postcards and a few more extras - nothing to warrant buying again.

The current release of Matrix Reloaded is pretty decent. Picture and sound are top notch and features are pretty complrehensive as well. Only wish Warner would put DTS on their fucking DVDs.

The pre-order offers from various shops are well worth it. From a copy of The Matrix on dvd, to postcards or full sized set of promotional posters.

HMV I think have the most intresting one, with limited edition HMV exclusive cover art.

I saw this film last night at the IMAX cinema in Bristol. All I can say is "Wow!" it blew me away. The fight scenes were amazing at that size and the auido rocked.

Well impressed. I cant wait for the next film to come out on IMAX too...

At the risk of going over old ground (it's been done to death in another thread anyway) I liked the film, but mainly because I felt obligated to like it.

Looking back at it now the way the Photek-style music just cuts in as soon as the fight sequences start is a bit too kitsch for me, it was almost too overbearing.

Plus, I can't help but feel that the franchise is in serious danger of disappearing up its own backside. The Matrix was good purely because it was so "out there" and original. As great an actor Lawrence Fishburn is, his overacting of Morpheus in Revolutions was distracting. I could never really see past Morpheus' own portrayed self-importance and pretentious mannerisms to care about his actual character. But maybe that's just me.

Personally, the Merovingian was one of the best actual characters in the 2nd film. Keanu, Carrie-Anne and Lawrence were as wooden as predictable as they come.

Just my 2p (and aside from the DVD - sorry)

I bought the DVD, the only extra worth watching is the doco about the car chase scenes.

The film looks amazing.

Got the DVD last week, got around to watching it at the weekend.

Well When I say watch it, I kinda had it on in the background and turned it off after 45 minutes as it was just so dull.
