I'm on record as hating too many stickies and announcements. If someone is dead set on these particular threads staying at the top, then they should work harder to keep the content fresh and not sponge off others efforts.

I have to page down just to get down to the new threads thanks to all the crap on the pages, so all the useful content is below the fold. I understand that this is partly because of the crap layout of the forums which will improve with Xenforo - but it's annoying!
