Read carefully now, this little trick is going to avoid you the typing of the command above, saving your fingers some skin !
The idea is to make a macro (take a deep breath), that is going to generate a macro (still here ?) to have a macro of the main assist, without typing the command itself every time ! (you can faint now)

the command : "/macro MASSIST /macro ASSIST /assist %t"

This command, when used, will create another macro, allowing you to assist the person you had targeted when you used the "master assist" macro. For example, you target a player A, press the "Master Assist" macro and put the newly created macro on your hotkeys bar. This macro will do the following : /assist !

Got it ? Well try it in game now, quite impressive

correct me if im wrong, but just by looking at that command, wont that put an icon on yer cursor (for dropping on the qb) like it would when you type any normal macro manually?

yes, but you only do this once per hunt/rvr trip/whatever. i.e. it saves you typing 1 line a day, or whatever.

you do that once, put it on an unused qbar and next time you need a macro assist for your mainbar you tagert the assistee and presh the massist macro, which triggers an assist macro on the assistee.

I think it's pretty useful tbh. Main tank goes LD mid-fight, need to start /assist'ing someone else, press that button, voila. Ever stood like a lemon for 20 secs while everyone else started twatting a mob cos you'd mis-spelled /assist Ixycthichliainch ? No need to worry any more, I like it.
