'Lo all.

I am new to Unreal Tourney on the web but have been playing as Nanny Ogg on QuakeWorld for a while now.

Apologies if this is a constant question, but is there anywhere I can d/l the UT CTF maps from, I have been to the files area on BW but it just comes up with an error message to say it can't find the link.

It seems to take longer to download the maps than it does to play them which is a real dissapointment, especially with the lag I am experiencing.

Anyone know where I can get the CTF maps from?

As far as I know PC Format has 200 UT Maps on it this month.

I reakon most of the maps you'd need woul be on that.

I'm looking for all of the maps currently played on Barrysworld UK CTF.

I'll take a look at the PC mags to see if there's anything there, but it's only really the BW ones I'm interested in.

Any ideas?

Cheers Jace, if that is the case though, why does it take me so long to get onto a map when I connect using GameSpy onto a BW server?

All of my settings seem to be ok, it just sits there saying Connecting (F10 Cancels) with the IP address and doesn't do anything else.

I'm stumped. :\

The maps used on the Barrysworld UT CTF servers are the maps that come with the full release of the game and are not, to my knowledge, available for download seperately anywhere.

Have you bought the full version of the game? If you have then you already have them.

It takes a long time through Gamespy, I have noticed this as well. The better option is to use the ingame server browser in UT. I think there are also issues joining passworded servers through Gamespy as well.

Anyway, using the UT server browser should do the trick, if you get stuck try taking a look at http://www.barrysworld.com/guides/ut/ , this should help you out a bit.

As far as I know, the reason it takes so long to load from Gspy is this-It actually has to initialise UT to join the server, and we all know how long that takes

Unlike the likes of Q2 etc which launches very quickly from Gspy.

As borg said, use the UT browser as you wont get so many iritating sounds ;-)

One bit of advice with this also, is to create a favourites list ASAP, otherwise every time you go to look for a server, the game will ping all the world servers...
