Ok....I was getting a map.bsp differs from servers on nearly all maps in CS.
Well after trying everything (except petrol and a match
) I decided to disable DMA on my new HD and all CD roms.
I then reinstalled CS and Half Life and voila. CS now works perfectly.
My only concern is ... will there be a big performance difference now that i've disabled DMA?
Someone please help

Op. Flashpoint has probs with DMA too on me PC....I really am in the verge of getting a new mobo and proc...maybe a nice Ti4600 too...and none of yer VIA pish neither.
