A report on the BBC outlines the police view that robbery was the motive for the tragic killing of Stefan Pakeerah and the game manhunt was not connected to the incident. They also confirm the game was found in Stefan's room and not in the killers.

The Elspa have written to David Blunkett about the media coverage which was shocking to say the least.

"We have been very concerned recently about the misleading and disingenuous reporting about the effects of playing interactive games software,".
"As you will know, despite many research projects into the effects of screen violence, some of which have been undertaken by eminent academics in their field, no link with violent behaviour has been found."

Nice to see the media getting their facts straight as per usual. What's the bet that none of the mainstream press mention this salient fact?

This also means that the parents of the boy who was killed bought him an 18 game when he was 14.
