Mame.dk Roms gone

Regulars on the Emu scene will know this but:

www.mame.dk is no more.


/well at least I have most of the classics I wanted. :(

For good? They had problems last year as well, if so that's a bummer.

Bet the people who donated for bandwith are a bit pissed.

Last year was a funding issue.

This year it's a legal thing so it really does look like the end. :(

By now, someone should have every file on there. So find them, and make them FTP distribute it all :)

Oh my ftp might be down a day or two, Im adding another 80gig hhd over the next few days.

Bugger. :/

I'd lost a lot of the roms I'd downloaded in recent months due to hard drive fook up. I was hoping to get around to downloading them all again. It was the simplest site to use. I guess now we'll have to go into the "land of pop-ups" to find our roms. :(

a friend of mine has an utterly immense emu collection, which he's partly got from mame.dk and the rest off usenet, i imagine with mame.dk closing down, more people will stick 'em on ftps/newsgroups... doubt it'd be too hard to find anything :p

It's not about whether or not people could find them. It's just that MAME.DK was sooooo easy to use and was fast and informative.
