Found out some info on this from a friend who works in the states fixing machines for Dell and other companies (ah, freelancing).

It sounds to him like a problem he's been facing recently, it's a sneaky and underhanded way of opening up your computer to spyware and hackers. The hack come throguh when the banner updates, making exceptions to you firewall (much like a DMZ on a router) opening you up to attack.

Be warned!

Stil, an old 486 who's only connected to the internet and who is easy to reinstall just incase someone/thing hacks ya, hell go to some webcafe and install it on all pc's, cashfarm 24/7, anyway enough speculations, the guys from Surfjunky will deffo ban all those using it 24/7, i mean $540,-/month is insane for doing a few tweaks, besides its scamming which can cause a nifty fine afaik.

I suppose what were trying to say (Tohtori, Mojo and myself) is that, "You can't honestly beleive that someone out there is willing to give you money, 'Free' for doing nothing!"

No-one is that dumb, to just hand out money like that without there being something in it for them. Do you honestly, truly, and utterly beleive that someone is just going to hand over that type of cash, just from you sitting at a pc and occasionally clicking a button?! Say it aint so.

Sorry, I know that sounds kind of harsh, but its better than you making an ass of yourself!

If they don't pay up, you have no appeal to get that money, as you don't sign anywhere and therefore have no legal right to the money. Second, if they do pay out, and it turns out it is again the law, then they will have your IP, banking codes (like they'd send you a cheque!) and personal information ready for when the cops show up on there doorstep. Then, by association, "your nicked" as they used to say. Hell, you may even be sued for fraud!

Money for nothing? Biggest pile of Bullshit going! But, if you do decide to go ahead, you can't turn round and say we didn't warn you when the brown stuff hits the fan.

The thing with these schemes is that people fall for them i had one a while back where someone i knew mailed me this pay pal money making scheme and im sure he did it with the best of intentions but remember folks you dont get money for nothing.

just tread carefully and if something seems too good to be true... it is.... unless its haagen das, which is in actual fact too good to be true.

I agree tho Binky, was just giving suggestions for those wanting to try, hey i earn enough money as it is and if i wanted more i'd just take a few extra late shifts :D
Besides i prefer my current rep with the law above being marked as comitter of fraud if that would be the case eventually, getting suid for "stealing" etc. that kind of thing.
Its just like xp'ing while afk, its against the GOA CoC so Surfjunky prob. has some fine print ya'll need to read incase yer gonna try ;)

Oh and Ben&Jerrys > Haagen-Das
