Do they not just go under the normal mechanics?

So if i hit you with "legendary cold weapon", it would simply use your cold resist where it would normaly use say ..slash resist. I would imagine that the basic modifier for weapon type vs armour type would remain unchanged?

scan read that.To sum up, some people think :-

NOTE: These modifiers only apply to Legendary weapon and bolts. Nothing else deals locational magic dmg.

+ means armor takes additional dmg
- means armor takes reduced dmg

______________Heat___Cold___Matter___Energy

all Cloth_______+0%____+0%_____+0%______+0%
all Leather____+15%___-10%_____-5%______+0%
Studded/Reinf__-10%____+5%_____+5%______+5%
all Chain______-10%____+0%_____+0%_____+10%
Plate/Scale____-10%___+10%____-10%_____+10%

and some people think that this may be bs, who knows :)?

Looking at that .. if its true. I would be tempted with energy proc... doesnt seem very balanced..

if u r stealther or DF farmer heat is the best, as stealthers use leather and most Df mobs is heat vurnarble

i'd like to see the damage table applied to all magic attacks, in the same way LW do. Also give realms the neutral, strong and weak resistences, ie Mids srong against Cold and Matter but weak against Fire and Body etc

I dont think that table is correct, cause it definitly isnt balanced there. And if it says to apply to bolts, well albion fire wizards are screwed then...(only bonus to leather, you are screwed anyway when you meet a stealther so..)

Heat has been tested neutral versus studded.

But who use sunweapons in fg vs fg rvr? Even if you have +10% on some armor, the enemy you hit on will probably have 50%+ in resist due to resist buffs. Imo it is better to hit on 26% slash resist rather than ~50% energy resist :)

erm no
how many grps run around with red energy resist? no one except a hib grp with a warden with top resist.
also sunsword debuff is 35% on scale/chain u get 10% bonus
so thats 45%. so say the target has luckily 45% u still hit like target has no resist after debuff. kthxbye xD

And for us gimpy thanes sun weapons are a tiny boost as it's a debuff for our instas, not much of a boost, but we need all the love we can get!

So you mean that you depend on your debuff going off? =)
You will hit on 40%+ resists and hope for a debuff, I wouldnt :p
Ooo wait I do that all the time when I hit on albs with that cleric spec-af up, except that I cant hope for a debuff...

I heard that legendary-weapons didnt take things like abs%, into account either, is this true?

Works exactly the same as normal weapons vs absorb/AF.
