Hello, on my sparetime im making some music with a friend, and now ive started to try and make some lyrics for them, somehow they always becomes satanic, maybe cuz i like death metal etc, i dont know :)

If anyone else than me making some lyrics, then maybe you could post them here, so people can rate them etc, atleast contribute with something

So this is my contribution, i made it a couple of days ago at work >.<

"The morning sun shines, into my eyes
im badly wounded, and left bound to die
the sirens of war, my last strength to breath
fading away, out of my reach
My wounds has stopped bleeding, my mind is getting dazed
the life as a killer, and this is my fate
You will be mine, a voice to me told
my heart's final beat, as i fell into the void"

Id like to see what people write about when they are making lyrics.
Cause you need a subject, and a story, or just plain bullshit :)

It's normally about love, I think Snow Patrol have written some nice lyrics recently, Chasing Cars is a nice song lyrically - . I can't play the guitar (or very badly atleast - I wish i could though, so so much), but after a relationship goes wrong, or just something in life that makes you think about things in a different light or perspective if you like. These are the times it's really easy to wrote lyrics, a death in the family, a passing of a friend, or simply reflecting on life - It's really easy once you have a purpose behind them and a drive to finish them without sounding too personal so not everyone can understand the point your trying to get across to them, it's very easy to get lost in lyrics but sometimes appreciate the artist wants you to sum up the lyrics on your own, creating a different view of a line each time making the music more interesting, a good example of this would be Interpol, very well written lyrics with alot of depth. Chris Martin also did a good job with Yellow, that song has alot of what a good song should have lyrically, Oasis did really well with Morning Glory.

Here's the lyrics for Snow patrol - Chasing Cars

We'll do it all
Everything
On our own

We don't need
Anything
Or anyone

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

I don't quite know
How to say
How I feel

Those three words
Are said too much
They're not enough

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

Let's waste time
Chasing cars
Around our heads

I need your grace
To remind me
To find my own

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Forget what we're told
Before we get too old
Show me a garden that's bursting into life

All that I am
All that I ever was
Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see

I don't know where
Confused about how as well
Just know that these things will never change for us at all

If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

would depend on the song tbh....some of it portrays the acts of serial killers..which some find interesting...like myself :)
for example a slayer song...not death metal granted but undoubtably slayer had a death metal element (lyrically)...take for example angel of death or dead skin mask....angel of death being about joseph mengel (sp?) the nazi auschwitz doctor from WW2 that performed sickening experiments on jews an what not. and dead skin mask being about ed gein...the mad **** from wisconsin that inspired silence of the lambs...:) so there is a point to it if you ask me....just down to perception i guess

The group Macabre has the best lyrics ever, imo. No fancy stuff. Mostly info and stories about sickos. Serial killers, cannibals, necrophiliacs and such. They made an entire album about the guy Jeffrey Dahmer (go look him up if you dont know who he was, already). Quite interesting, sickening AND amusing at the same time. Combine that with musicians that are so ***** good at what they are doing, and you have entertaining music :)

You will need to have some twisted, or sometimes even morbid humor to enjoy the lyrics though.

Example: (easier understood if you read the story about him and the stuff he did to his victims)

On The Night I Met Jeffrey
It Was A Terrible Night
He Took Me Home And Drugged Me
So I Couldn't Put Up A Fight

I Got The Jeffrey Dahmer Blues
It's Front Page News
I Got The Jeffrey Dahmer Blues
It's Front Page News

He's Drilling My Head
I Wish I Was Dead
Instead I'm A Zombie
Laying In Jeffrey's Bed

I Got The Jeffrey Dahmer Blues...

Yes, he did some quite sick experimenting with making "zombie sex slaves". He also kept some skulls and stuff from his victims. Kept a few corpses in his bathtub in cold water as well, while he was figuring out what to do with them. Apparantly he melt some(one, or more) in acid and pour it down the toilett. Hence the song "into the toilett with you" from the same record by Macabre :D
