Got mine to 10 doing a camp, just off the zone wall beyond the Mau faction quest giver. (Large hill with all types of Scarabs, some purps !!)
Took me 4 weeks to get it to 10 and I hated every second of it

Best XP I have found for this (so far) is Lava Bugs in Typhons Reach. They hit like fairies and have quite low HP but con red to 50.
Yourself, an ungrouped BB (with heal ward is nice if you can get it) and a 45+ warrior (find someone who needs the xp), or another damage dealer.
If you work your way along the edge of the lava, you can keep the camp bonus going for a while.
There is a large and continuous spawn, so you never run out of bugs to splat and you dont have to move around much at all between kills.
They can and often do call for help (which can be fun) but the trick is if too many come at once for you to handle, simply sprint away, and the called adds will stop chasing very quickly, at which point you immediatly return to carry on killing the original mob.
Can make a level every 2-3 hours at a rough estimate. Not really timed it though.
You can do this solo+an ungrouped BB for not bad xp, quite boring tho.
