If you are thinking of making a Fire Wizard here are my tips.
Character:
Avalonian for their high Int,Dex,Qui
Add 10spec points in each
Int = 90
Dex = 70
Qui = 80
Save you spec points until you reach lvl5 as the spells you get in earth and ice are enough to see you through till then.
Once you reach lvl5 and journey to Cam put all points into Fire giving you:
Fiery Bolt lvl4 Ranged Attack
Fire Wind lvl5 Direct Damage
Lesser Combustion lvl3 Direct Damage
Explosive Blast lvl5 Area of Damage
Attacking
Con Green and Blue are very easy mobs to kill and this is the method I went for.
Fiery Bolt + Fire Wind + Fire Wind, this should take care of any green with out them even getting close, sometime another Fire Wind is need to finish a Blue off.
Yellows can be a little tricky or very easy, easy ones fall after 1 Fiery Bolt and 3 Fire Winds, now as long as you casting at you max range they will not even get close, if however your Bolt misses the mob will be attack at full health, I can suggest two things.
1. Hit it with 3 Fire Winds and then 1 Quick cast Fire Wind when it is on you, you will probably be hit at least once.
2. Have the Freeze Mes to hand and Freeze the mob you now have a chance to sprint further away and wait 18sec for your Bolt to cast again then your be fine.
BUT mez can always miss two, so if your bolt misses and then you mez does your in trouble so just turn and run your have a distance between you anyway so the mob will give up very quickly.
ORANGE this can be down but you take your chance it is a gamble. I have taken many orange con mobs and I found this to work best
1 Fiery Bolt + Fire Wind + Freeze Mez run to max distance 1 Fiery Bolt + Fire Wind + Freeze Mez run to max distance + Fire Wind + Fire Wind
This will take down an Orange Con the most important part is the freeze mez if the first one misses you only have one choice and that is to run. If the second misses you can keep casting fire and then use a quick cast when it is on you, but remember an orange con will hit you hard. or run and come back for him.
Always remember to BUFF every little bit helps, don’t cast unless you are at max distance allows you time to make decision if things go wrong.
Explosive Blast!!! This spell I have not had much use for as if you cast it your likely to pull 4 or more mobs, the only time I have found a use for it is when a group is under attack from 4 or more mobs, I can then cast this and run like hell as it will pull the mobs of the others and come after me, but being as I start to sprint a long time ago they will never catch me and give up, hence given the other party to escape.
As this spell becomes more powerful it will have more of a use I am sure.
Grouping
When hunting in groups if possible have someone else do the pulling DO NOT pull if you are the highest level in the group or same level, as you are the biggest hitter in the group and lower level tanks will have a hard time getting the mob aggro off you, let a scout or armsmens pull wait for them to get it down to 80% life then step in and blast away, trust me even if they start to take damage and start asking to start DO NOT unless they have hit it a few times, else with you first cast the mob will be on you and you will die.
Stand well back from the group as well all your attacks have excellent range; you fire bolt has one of the best in the game on par with scouts.
Once a pull has been made you have time so check to see if any adds are coming if so hit them with freeze and deal with them after the first pull.
If the add only cons blue or yellow and the group has the first pull in control you can take it on yourself if you feel the need.
Remember RANGE is your lifeline if something is too close DO NOT CAST, a blue and even a green can out melee you.
