Usual game session as a lvl31 SB:

log-on..lfg flag up.. /send group leaders looking for all

<me> Hi, have you any room? (fingers crossed)
<them> level? class? (sigh)
<me> 31 sb
<them> no

/rinse /repeat...(for quite a long time)

Then go hit something blue.

So, I need some tips on where to hunt from high level SB's please.

(Just like to remind people, next time your on a relic/keep raid, and the archers/defenders are beating the crap outta you from the battlements with impunity, the only people who can help you, are the poor b*****d's you left behind 10lvl's ago)

Yup. I know the situation, luckily there are frequent guild hunts on which I participate - haven't been to (ie.) Spind whining for a group in ages because I got a bit tired of sitting on a rock shouting "Lvl 3x Shadowblade LFG" :)

Hi Grymshadow

I would suggest finding ppl in your guild, if you are in a guild of course. I got grps with my guild all the time and later when ppl got to know me I did not have a hard time finding grps outside the guild in spindelhalla, scavs room, but this was lvl 34+.

At lvl 31 I would look for grps outside spindelhalla or just inside. I think it easier to get in if your standing next to them. If you come over a grp of 7 you could suggest to join the grp until a shaman or healer comes, because many ppl keep the last spot open for a healer class, and by the time one arrives usually someone else has left and you still got a grp.

I’m at lvl 40 now and I think this is a hard lvl to be, because you are too high for spindel and too low for Malmhus. I have not been to Malmhus, but I hope to go there soon.

I think every class has trouble finding groups to a certain extent unless you know the individuals or if it is a guild group.

WHen actively looking for a group as an experienced lvl 38 thane I very rarely get one and the times I do it is because people know either me or my guild.

I think at higher lvls there is a waryness to group with people you don't know because of drop hogging and bad pulling tactics.

Or my personal bugbear (this happened again yesterday) when somebody asks to join then immediately leaves when they have leveled which happens all the time.

If a ghost group has space we will invite people, especially ones we have bet before, but on the whole I find 50 percent of people we group with (who we don't know) either bug you about drops, argue about what you are killing or the aforementioned lvling then running off and leaving you.

My suggestion would be to join a good guild or get to know a few people around your lvl and start joining in with them.

Remember to a lot of people a major element of Daoc is social so if you are a nice guy they will group.

ok lets face it... shadowblades are shadowgimps... reason i say that is our armor and the fact that we do not add anything to a group in exp partys. No buffs no protect no guard and cant tank at all.

So best way to get groups is to ether join a guild with many ppl at your lvl or ask ppl in your guild to party with them.

The way i've lvled gotten groups all they way to 47.5 is by guild mates. That does not mean ive "leeched" my way up by higher lvls all the way... one thing they none wants is a to team with a sb lower lvled then themself.

One more thing when u get a group as a sb dont whine if exp is bad. its not like u can solo any faster anyway, and dont be a loot whore. you don't add anything to a group and dont think they will give you all the drops.

But midgard is biteing its own tail when they do not add sbs in there groups. if we had more highlvled sbs we had been a better realm in keep takeing.

in future patches sbs will be better adding 10% exsta points to spend and haveing more hp.

happy hunting

And sb's have one big thing they can add to a group.

In an emergency noone can draw aggro off a tank or healer like a sb ;-)

When looking for a group, dont use the LFG flag as the only way of finding a group. If you want a group, you have to have a healer, or second choice shammy.

So you, lvl 31 SB, should do some thing like this.

/who healer 25 29

xx healer 28 spindelhalla

/send xx Hi do your group have a spot for a lvl 31 SB

rinse and repeat with the entire list.

At some point you will prolly get lucky

If not, try the /who shaman thing and do the list over. Be prepared to travel though.

Also keep adding those healers to ur friend list. They are ever so usefull :D

Midgard only have one class that NO group can be without, ehh well 2 if above 40 ( U PBT runies make my day) so look for them, and you find a group pretty quick :D
