Luri Hero!

Ok i didnt want to start a thread just to ask this but im really not sure what to spec as a luri hero, Please help!!!

How bout:

50 shield, 50 pierce, 28 parry
42 shield, 50 LW/CS, 39 parry
42 shield, 50 LW/CS, 39 pierce

or sumpin

Keen heros are gimp, even if you spec pierce a firby and a celt hero is gonna have more wepskill then you..

Mebbe gimped, But firb and celt dont look as good Ya jus jealous j/k, Jus fancy summin different rather than specing the most popular/best spec all the time, But thanks for advice

So definate sword and board with Luri Hero? Would,nt he parry alot aswell as block alot?

i got the luri 50 pierce 50 shield rest parry one. works great as guardbot vs albs, gunnerr ialkarn and other 1 weapon wielders. zerks and h2h savages are fuckhard to block against tho t.t. hope it have gotten better this patch. and its great pve, guarding casters and other tanks.

i didnt go cs/lw because hib casters deal the same damage but 2x faster, if they are protected properly.

Cool, Thanks for the advice , Wouldnt it be better for 42 shield for slam, 50 Pierce, For more into parry if the parry situation has been resolved in 1.62?

this isn't a popular spec but it does give you every dmg type in the game

28 Parry

blunt/slash dmg from LW
pierce from CS

Rather have 50 shield as parry is only good when someone is hitting on you. meaning it is rather useless in RvR cuz you shouldn't be taken down before all support is dead. and by then it's pretty much lost anyway

ofc there are still n00bs that will hit a tank but they will generally end up hiting you from behind wich means you wont be able to parry.

and when zerged you have a great chancer of beeing hit in a way you can't parry, but the likelyness to win such a fight is very small.

so, 8 more shield > 11 parry imo

parry is generally just good for soloers and dualists

in it's current state parry doesn't as much as shield does in RvR. read my previosly post for explaination

i parryed ALOT yesterday in duels, but then again, who attack tanks in rvr and you want to guard those liddul casters good

Well i started him other day, At low lvls he blocks alot, And also a few parrys pop up now and then, Think i,ll go for the 50 shield, Good point made by Gal there, Thanks all

celt and lurikeen heros have the same weaponskill using piercers. in fact, only firbolg, saracen and trolls have higher weaponskill with str/dex based weapons.

however, lurikeen hero has the highest shield weaponskill of any tank. to be honest, saracen shield merc (even more dex) and kobold warrior (more base weaponskill) can beat him on that, and soon elf shield blademaster will come close.

When i played alb i did a brit shield merc with all initial points into dex, And specced thrust and shield, Worked really well, But only reached lvl 19 :| But was excellent for PvE, Probs the reason im doing a Luri Hero, Jus an experiment, But hopeing it works out

Hell yeah, I made a Troll H2H Savage because I thought it might be fun; it shouldn't work but I have fun...fuck 'em if they don't like it, ignore the stat monkeys and roll whatever the hell you want.

Lmao, Agree,d, I did kobbie warrior, He was a block monster, Only got him to 7 or summin, But he was so fun, Hell what do we pay £8 a month for? Certainly not to have to go a specific spec cos every one else does

Pierce for max weap skill with Luri.

Great for guarding , my rr3 luri hero blocks 60-80% attacks comming from high rr mercs and savages.
