LPBs on 'modem only' server :0( !

Dear Barry,

It has Recently come to my attention that there are Entirely TOO MANY Low Pingers playing on your 'modem only' server.

Whilst I Applaud [1] the introduction of servers for the high ping afflicted, they are of little use if full of 'Cabal Modemers.' I & those that I represent therefore feel it would be Prudent to introduce appropriate Punishments for offenders; for example "banning" or "spaying."

You may feel that this is perhaps too harsh, however in my Experience low pingers often progress onto worse forms of cheating such as "aimbots." A short, sharp shock applied now may very well set them back on the right "track."

We hope you will give Serious consideration to our proposition, as it will likely go some way towards consolidating you're position as Don of UK gaming.

Get an admin from #bwadmins and they will kick the LPB.

There are several HPB admins, but an lpb admin should be just as ready to help.

I read somebody elses post somewhere on this forum asking if the servers name could be set to "56K Modem" instead of just Modem, mebe more LPB would stay off it if it was a little clearer ??

Well i actually think its down to the Display setting you have, becuase if your usin the In-Game CS Servers it only reads upto about Barryswor..... so you cant quite make out what the full name of the server is... sometimes it could be that?

Its this kind of bullshit that makes me very anti this server in the first place. That comment essentially suggests that "you can afford a connection better than mine so you must be a cheat".

Total pish, the only people being cheated here are the LPB's who used to have 20 servers to choose from who now have less choice because all the HPBs bitched and moaned till they got there way..... maybe we LPBs should bitch so we get a server of our own..... nope that would as it would be on the same level as that comment.

As for my admin decisions, they're mine and mine alone and your commentary on them is neither requested, or of any interest to me, especially when you end with "You Sir, are a cock."

As for Cable/ADSL/ISDN, yes there are places where people can't get them, but why the fuck should those who can't get a better connect get there own server? It's not like it compensates in any way for your local area not having boadband and all it does is create more admin bullshit.

I would suggest then, you resign your post of "CS Admin"with immediate effect and create an admin position at Barrys that someone with:

1) a clue
2) a tad of motivation
3) a slightly less anal attitude

can fill asap.

I reckon there should be a hp server and I do believe it should be admin'd properly. Kinda like a disabled football league or sommat

No point in having a high ping server only for people with low pings to connect to it though... kinda defeats the point of having it. 'That' is a waste of a server. It's filling neither purpose...

Problem is, like in the case of cheats, most people can't be arsed to go get an admin to kick the lp'ers. So until then, they shouldn't really complain.

i was playin so well then next min i lagged for about 30 seconds... which obviously got me killed :/

I think a much better solution to this would be to have a newbie or beginner server, this way people starting up have somewhere less demoralising to play and also people finding it hard amoungst low ping players that are restricted with a shit connection can play here also .

Oh yeh and all this critacism toward admins, I just think it should be pointed out most of them do this unpaid so stfu your moaning and carry on taking your free public servers that you play on .

For the last time, there are plently of admins willing to kick LPB's. There are many admins on 56k who actually play on the server.

If you want an lpb removed you need to ask in #bwadmins, no one will be monitoring the pings of connected players.

you have told people countless times to visit #bwadmins to report a cheater or whatever, but they dont seem to listen... instead they bitch about somethin else then (like Mystic's attitude or somethin) like its there server, they pay for it, and the admin are below them.....
