I'm sure they could if they put too much bank on whilst travelling too slowly again. There'll be a court martial coming for that one.

From what I've read it was a mechanical failure and in a former military aircraft: so no court martial.

Unless the failure caused the helo to bank too much, or not come back from the bank,it sure looks like pilot error.

Nothing conclusive so far, pilot reported controls 'locking', initial investigation found no obvious mechanical failure. Non military as tom said.
