Low memory errors?

Every time I play RA3 I get the following error :

"Memory low : Using deferred model"

Eh? I have a Radeon 64Mb DDR and 768Mb system RAM in Win2k. I shouldn't be running low on any memory surely?

Anyone have any ideas?

how much memory is your os using.
and do you use hunkmegs ?
seta com_hunkMegs 76
just type /hunkmegs at the console and it will tell u.
it could also be other stuff and prob. is but anyway hope this helps.

Well, I've got 642Mb available system memory outside Win2k, so it's not that

/hunkmegs at the console returns unknown command (?)

I think ID's suggested value for this is 3/4 of system RAM. ie I have 128mb so com_hunkmegs is set to 96.

Im not sure what you would do with 768mb though!! I would imagine the gains end at a particular value - does anyone know what this is?
